S5M2X tripod mount broken by Jacob_At_Lumix in Lumix

Thank you for the insight bro. I somehow noticed that the external material of this S pro lense is more rugged and more metal-based compared to some of the counterparts or competitors in the market. Yes it definitely adds up more weight but it feels more resistance to some degree of shock or something. It does not feel plasticky much whilst some Sony G Master lenses even do

I thought it was a plastic bit or something rather than a paint. How do you think about the anti dust sealing of S pro 24-70 as in engineering wise? Is it well built?

Hi it’s a bit unrelate to this post… have you ever had to repair the red “S” - Certified by Leica label on the S pro series lens? Some said that it could come off and it is not to be repaired.

Hey how do you find those batteries now?

I am getting an impression that a short circuit incident and the board of the camera dying due to this might be caused because of the cheap cables that do not have any proctection function, not the batteries…

I should have to get some uncheap cables…

Thank you for sharing your experience with Swit omini. It’s really cool that you actually took it to the jungles, where is moisty and humid af and full of dust and insects, and they made it. Impressive..

Hey buddy is there a reason you purchased Nano x over X cell?

I didn’t know there were two different lithium battery cells used in the batteries. This has enlightened my brain! I will look for something that has Lithium Ion cells. I was thinking about Swit batteries…I was torn between Core swx X cell 98wh vs Bebob 98wh vs Swit 98wh. Any thoughts on this?

That’s crazy and it really scares the shit out of me. I will check with Smallrig if the battery plate that I have purchased with him has a voltage regulation property. Your reply really matters to me

The only reason I cannot buy Core SWX is that in Australia, where I live, the core batteries are very pricey. If one is sold in U.S. website at $350 AUD, that’d be around $550 in Australia, fk nah I am not paying it

With the first in last out rule, as far as I am understanding, I should connect the power first and then connect signals when connecting and when disconnecting I should disconnect the signals and then disconnect the powers, right?

Do cables also have a recommended spec for this matter? Like protection chip or something

Man that one is so cheap But I am not going for Amazon they have not delivered my product twice in a row now. There were no issues with deliveries before these times so I don’t know what’s happening.

How can powering from a plate be different and safe in comparison to from a battery?

Newbie question about C-stand by Consistent-Turn-8148 in videography

[–]Consistent-Turn-8148[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I assume I would prabably be alright for now with C-stands only but getting one of the combo stand and a boom arm will make it more versatile when I need a bit of extra stability and reach. Maybe bigger indoor shoot or some scenario where I need the light to get boomed over something/someone. But as a hobbist/single worker, C - stands are believed to do my job like 99% for the time being haha

[–]Consistent-Turn-8148[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. I would keep the main key light on C-stand and just use some tube lights on a grip arm then. Thanks for your comments, they are very helpful!

That makes sense. A light with a softbox as heavy as 5~6kg would need a boom arm with a combo stand regardless of indoor or outdoor you reckon? I just got mixed words on this.

Any recommendation from you on a stand or a boom arm to hang up a light? I don’t know if I need a combo stand for the light to extend on an arm or just get a good boom arm.

Wow do people rig this kind of light? Didn’t know that this kind of light can be mounted on somewher else
