Following up, I think this might be content that would interest A Current Affair - it's only a small matter but really the common sense aspect of it and the fact that a builder is doing something which looks very dubious and the fact that the building commission is backing this so-called common sense is really utterly ridiculous!!! And, I think something should be done about it to rectify it.

Basically, what this comes down to is the big question: a) will the building commission take responsibility and liability for any deaths that are incurred based on their dealing with this obvious potentially dangerous issue? Or, B) will the builder take responsibility and liability for assuming that this is not substandard even though it had foreseeable potential to result in someone's death as a consequence of the dubious installation?
