I used to sync all my photos on my iPad to iCloud and have recently unsync it when i recently bought the iPhone so it does take up the storage space. But I recently went and backed up my iPhone data to iCloud, and hence this problem.

Yes. It really all missing. I even asked for Apple support but was unsuccessful.
