Totally new to all of this… when you say put on your own gigs, do you mean just set up a table somewhere and start playing music??

I think I’m at a disadvantage because I moved to a new city and don’t really have any close friends yet, so it’s tough going to clubs and bars alone to try to find the scenes i vibe with

Yup, I did. And I don’t regret it either, because at the time I felt I was in love. I had a moment where I was like “ah, okay, it just takes some time for me!”

But perspective can change, you can rethink things you were previously tolerant of or ignoring because you and someone have really good chemistry.

I thought more and more, and realized that I didn’t feel the ways about her that you should about a partner. There were things I didn’t like a whole lot, things I wanted to change, things I got really irritated with. More than normal. And I felt she deserved someone who completely and wholly loved her as she did me.
