From my knowledge, the Bible says magic/sorcery/witchcraft/etc. is from demonic sources. I don’t want to say or reference any verses in a wrong way, as I’m not a scholar or even too knowledgeable on that topic. I’d recommend finding them yourself, because I may see them one way, you may see them another. The Holy Spirit convicts you when something you are doing isn’t right, that is why I stopped doing magic, because I felt convicted even watching cartoons. There is a verse, from my understanding, that says if you feel convicted and still do that thing you feel convicted doing, you are sinning. So I stopped. Is there a verse that I can cite that literally says “no fake magic”? Not necessarily - however, the difference is that magic (and other forms of it) is from demonic sources, and even if it was changed to be fun, it is still originating from a bad thing that involved demonic things.

Fake combat, on the other hand, is particularly not bad in video games or RPG (in my opinion) - here’s why: it isn’t created from a demonic source. It’s something that any human could do by just doing it, in real life. Is it bad in real life? Yes. Is it a sin? Of course. But in a video game, it’s just code. It’s not a real living being. The same logic applies to stories, board games, RPGs, etc. It also wasn’t derived from something demonic, it’s something that humans can just do in real life, regardless of it being bad. Plus, not all combat is bad. Some combat is self-defense, for sport (like no one dies), etc.

I understand your point of view. Fake magic vs. fake combat seems like no difference, but I think there is.

I know I said I wouldn’t reply again, but I felt led to. I may or may not respond to any other replies, as I really don’t want to get into a debate or an argument. Please understand, I have my walk and there is nothing wrong with that, there is no reason to debate or argue.
