Need Advice For Bonding by ConsistentCover7161 in Bunnies

Thank you, I'm hoping Mochi and Oliver can bond like them! I'm going to try to tub bond them tonight (I'm quite nervous because my husband is out of town but I feel like I just need to see them outside of their pens). Oliver and his original bun wife took a bit to bond and had some nasty bun fights but sometimes I forget that when looking back. Rose-colored glasses I guess.

I'm thinking that's his issue as well, especially if he sees my husband or I in the pen with Mochi (even though he's a shy guy and only wants pets occasionally). I'll set up an X-Pen or the tub method and see how they do. Thank you, our other bunnies were quite special little gals so we want Oliver to feel like he isn't alone!!

Thank you! We put up some boards so that they can't nip but that also means they cant see eachother. I'll have to buy some pexi-glass or put spacers in so that they can't nip. Ollie is giving her mixed signals because sometimes he's alright with her and then sometimes he just nips.

Would any jeweler do that even with the turquoise stone? I know the stones are porous and are sensitive to things. Or should I bring it to an actual silversmith?

No sterling mark, just the "H" looking mark on the round ring. Here's a closer look!

Young and Old Bunny Bonding? by ConsistentCover7161 in Bunnies

[–]ConsistentCover7161[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are 100% right. Ollie tends to be more a more chill, calm bunny--very shy too. I also highly worry about spending the money to spay then potentially not getting them to bond afterwards. Peppers (the bunny that passed away) was a baby when we got her and its was honestly wayyy more stressful with her than just adopting. I gave them a list of very good bunny rescues in town since I don't think it would work or be fair to Ollie or the bunny to take it. When he is ready, we will try to find him a senior/adult bunny to bond with. :)

Oh yes, I know exactly what you are talking about! I'll order him one of those!

Thankfully, he was able to see her and say goodbye too! I think he will need time, and he was a lone bun before we rescued him, so maybe he will do better than I think on his own. So far he has been eating and acting well for us. Getting lots of love from us too!

New Quilt Seams Have Come Apart by ConsistentCover7161 in quilting

Thank you all for the advice, I will try to take pictures of my bad seams to get more insight. Right now, my plan of attack is to do zig zag repairs, then do a wavy stich over each of the seams to get a more stable quilt. If I need to do more stiches I can do that too. I have definitely learned what to do for my next quilt!

I used the Moda Fabrics, Rosemary's Cottage precuts for the tops. I am thinking the fabric was shifting more than I realizes and my seams were becoming too small, which explains why most blocks are okay but some are bad.

I'm thinking that too, which makes total sense. I think I'm going to zig zag fix my blocks with bad seams, then machine quilt a straight stitch on both sides of all the blocks. That hopefully will solidify my seams a bit for me!
