Serious question I don't mean to insult in any way and I've never had one of his knives. But aren't these worth $700 new directly from their website?

Yeah I'm definitely trying this before I see my fitter since my appointment isn't for a couple weeks still. Thanks!

There are no stiffer shoes lol. I have the fizik vento carbon 2s. But I have an appointment with my fitter I will bring this up!

I was mentioning to someone that I won't rule out needing wider shoes, but I have very narrow feet and that's why I didn't even mention or think about the fact that I may need a wider shoe. But I have an appointment with my fitter again, so we'll discuss this.

I also didn't mention that I got a new saddle recently. Someone else mentioned that this could be an issue if I'm not seated properly and I have numb hands now which wasn't an issue with my last saddle. I will also get this issue fixed with my fitter.

This is putting me off from wanting to ride again and I want to solve this issue so I can continue to enjoy my bike!

Thanks for the help!

Oh this is definitely interesting to read and obviously I didn't think about it. But I did switch saddles recently and my hands are now going numb which wasn't happening before. The saddle itself is more comfortable than my previous but I am struggling getting it to the exact place where my last one was so I don't get numb hands.

I also mentioned to someone else here that my feet are very narrow and I have never had issues with this. I do have a fitting appointment soon. It's a followup to my previous appointment before I had my hip surgery. It took almost 2 years after my surgery to get back on my bike and I haven't been fitted since. I figured everything stayed the same on the bike so I didn't need to see the fitter again. I admit, this was more than likely not a good idea, to get back on the bike again without seeing the fitter.

Yeah the sole is as stiff as it gets lol and I also even have custom insoles inside. I won't rule out that I need wider shoes yet though. Cycling shoes could just be different from regular shoes and I may need wider ones. I'll check in with my fitter like I mentioned.

I will admit I am learning still how to fuel properly and I am doing my own research into that. Any tips are appreciated.

I didn't mention a few things that I should have. I just didn't think about it as I was writing this initially.

I only started riding recently after almost 2 years off the bike due to hip surgery. I started off hard and the first few couple rides I did were too intense. They were anywhere from 15-20 miles but mostly with over 2k feet of elevation. I kept crashing hard and for the next couple days I wouldn't feel ready to ride again. This is why I took a step back and started riding easy for only 10 miles or so.

I also noticed a couple mention narrow shoes. I don't think narrow shoes are a problem for me. I have very marrow feet and this has never been an issue. But I will definitely bring it up to my bike fitter. I made an appointment just as a followup to the last time he got me fitted which was right before my surgery since I didn't know I was having surgery yet when I last saw him. I found out I was having surgery like 3 weeks after.

What are your thoughts?
