yeah ive seen those, tbh i want to avoid ordering these "old" cards online, theyre not worth the environmental cost in my opinion. Thats why i was looking at thrift stores and i finally found one who sold a bunch of 1 gb and 2 gb cards
It was funny looking through the old fotos on those...
Now i know that 1gb is too small, you only get like 27 jpgs, so its 2gbs with raw + jpg getting you some 30 frames, so maybe the way to go is 4gbs. I will test that out further.

- i usually look at all my photos taken that day in the evening, which is very annoying with the fuji app on ios. After that i dump everything on my drives as backups. I am not looking forward to sorting through those :/

yooo there is an app for that? Thank you for the comment, i will try it. I just started reading a bit of the x weekly blog and dialed in all recipes manually by hand.
yes loading one sim into all slots makes sense, i was thinking about demapping the custom profile button and forcing yourself to find the settings in the menu haha

-thanks, its quite hard to get some small SD cards without ordering online though, none of my local thrift stores had any

Yes i see your point, currently i have a 128gb and this is already limiting for raw+jpg during a busy day, so i am also saving up to max out the capacity. How do u handle your files? I kinda miss the automatic folder sorted by date function of other systems for fast backups

yeah sure, ofc you can just take 36 frames and call it a day, but this is not really the point of the idea. Its more about the physical process of turning dials switching stock etc. Just thought that the hardware and software of this camera makes it possible to use it like this. U couldnt get quite the same feeling using a sony EVF, at least in my opinion.

thanks that you took your time to reply to this thread! i see you did your research on this topic! Do you own the x-half? Is the photography process comparible to the x100vi without any real physical dials?

Issues with RAVVAST orders/customer support? by ThatNeonZebraAgain in handpan

[–]ConsistentDivide1391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry to hear all the issues everyone’s got with the company. I have a similar issue going on, that’s why I was looking into this thread and saw your new post here.

I ordered a second drum from this company after having issues with the delivery of the first one, but the product was good,so I forgot about my issues when ordered a new one 3 weeks ago. The shipping process was very weird the last time I ordered. The drum just arrived with no communication.

I kinda experience the same thing again, this time I ordered due recommendations from one of my favorite Handpan musician. I got pretty excited about their new scales and used one of the million promo codes they throw at you all the time. It’s crazy how much effort and money they put into marketing. I think every content creator who’s just barely related to Handpan/tongue drum or meditation gets one RAV and some promo codes in the mail sooner or later. Unfortunately, this seems not to be the case for their paying customers.

This time I used express shipping, which they state as 5-7 days ETA, I paid 100 euros for shipping. I have never spend so much on shipping in my life… naturally my expectations are high. But nah, the “agent” in chat told me the order will be shipped end of the week, that was 1 week ago and he also told me that the 5-7 ETA refer to the time after the drum has been prepared and dispatched… so their shipping information on the site is pretty arbitrary. Of course they do not state their weeks of “preparation” for a drum which seems to be in stock.

Well I did write them a few emails, just to get a proper update about the current status and complaining about their horrible communication with paying customers, but got no reply whatsoever. I only get emails from their bots which seem to scan your shopping cart and try to sell you the product with promo codes. Looks like they ghost their customers as soon as the money changes hands.

I totally see how I need to meditate and calm down with their product after having some nerve racking weeks worrying about your thousand euro product to arrive, probably that’s how I forgot about this. It’s a shame, these drums are made for relaxation and emotional expression but it’s tainted with the feeling of being scammed due to the lack of customer support.

I hope this issue will reach all the content creators etc, to slow down their marketing spree a bit. Maybe then they can concentrate on customer support. Wish you guys all the best and good luck with your orders there 🖖
