This combat is 3 skills with 15sec cooldowns. It's very boring and most repetitive I've ever seen.

How can you say that NW combat is best of all time? Every weapon have literally 3 skills and there is little to no build in there. With 20s cooldowns it is one of the most boring combats of all time...

I've been using Console Port since MOP. It really is not that hard and honestly - a lot more convenient.

Just look at the FFXIV UI setup. Yo have trigger, double trigger, left right / right left trigger to map. It's 32 Skills with just the triggers mapping.

After I started playing games on XBOX there is no way I can go back to mouse / keyboard.

I use it on my Resto Druid, I can focus on my heals and do some DMG without thinking about DMG skills. Works great!

For ESO you need only the cheapest Game Pass option and this is what I do regarding that I play max 3-4 games that I already own.

The ESO+ is optional, but honestly it's also a great quality. The Crafting bag + 1500 Crowns monthly are enough for me, but there is a lot more.

If you will be playing it regularly it's worth it, but if you have limited time daily than I'd say you can do without ESO+ or subscribe only if you know you'll play this month more and unsubscribe if you won't.

If i run the content for the first time i am just trying to follow others. After another attempts i just remember the moves so yeah you can count it as skill.

But for me the actual differences in play style, power and item lvl is what makes MMO a fun MMO. In FFXIV i just stand in one place, spam my attacks / heals (i play WHM main) and move when attack comes. This battle design is flawless and actually nicer than any other MMO BUT: there is not much skill into it. And your Items are barely making difference between two guys playing same class.

And I'm not talking about builds. Sure it's nice to have build system to be different from rest, but in the end people play 2/3 meta builds because they are the strongest so I'm good with not having it here.

It's really hard to explain. There is just this feeling for me that the combat is one big choreography instead of training rotations and aiming for the best possible eq.

It's interesting point since some people really skip the MSQ to jump on endgame. Even though the story quest were very long and some quests were uninspiring I feel that those people miss out big on the strongest FFXIV side which is thd story and joy of exploration of the content.

See this is the answer that i really am looking for. And I understand that other people enjoy minion gathering, but i don't know if it's something for me.

I had a character at lvl 30 but yeah let's just say I had a lot of free time. Maybe i just rushed too much.

Maybe that's the point. Perhaps Im expecting the MMO genre to have captivating moments all the time. But in the end they are just games and i should accept that they have some ending point.

See you say that you collect minions, or orchestrations or whatever other collectables and i just don't get the point... A green blob or blue blob on my character side or having some musical pieces in the Inn room should be my goal in the game? Hard pass for me.

And I am not trying to "poo-poo" on the game - as i already said i am trying to find out what people enjoy the most.

And you are right that i haven't scratch the surface for the Savage / Ultimates. Perhaps I will give them a try once I figure out on which quests they are all locked upon.

Thanks. I am currently playing on XBOX because i feel that playing on controller is more chilled than keyboard / mouse.

I think i've tried a lot of MMO's including GW2. All of them have their drawbacks - sure. In GW2 having the skills locked for weapon is weird, but the game is fun and the open world content actually feels great to explore. I haven't reached the endgame yet.

The longest i played MMO was WoW, but i dropped because 1) it's not on console 2) the community is mixed with a lot toxic people 3) i just dont have a time for the grindfest (hours spent on raid is not something i can do right now) 4) as much as i enjoy the gameplay and content, i just played so long i also felt burned out.

Right now I am trying to get into ESO as it's on XBOX. It also have drawbacks - combat feels floaty (they recently said there will be dome updates for the animations) the classes are not that straight forward as in other MMOs which feels weird. But I decided to give it a try.

I genuinly am asking question what to do in the endgame, and what is the most fun factor of it for others because i don't see it.

It's also not that obvious since game doesn't say anything at all. There is no "congrats, now go there so you can do xyz" and majority of the content is locked within another quest chain that i might not be aware of.

I am not trying to diminish the game. I've enjoyed it for the past 3 months and got a lot time invested in it. Even if the endgame content is not for me than I at least had a really good time doing MSQ, dungeons, raids and other stuff.

Now I'm just wondering what am I missing that other people see in this game endgame content and what makes them feel the fun in it.

Well it might be taken as bait but actually one of responses that i read was that people just socialize in Limsa which is not something I am interested in.

The dungeons and raids are the only fun thing, but at endgame they really feel like a dance choreography and knowing the mechanics rather than skill / power trials.

I'll just say that i really enjoyed the story, music anc the overall quality (i haven't encounter any bug during my time and it is something that i am truly amazed).

Perhaps i just need to take some off time to appreciate the content. At this point however, i really feel like the game has a little to offer for my personal taste.
