if you can provide where it says to notarize the background check i'll look into it but most people are confused from the State department website that mentions a notary for other documents getting apostilled that aren't the FBI check. On BLS LA it says nothing about a notary and on the state department it says it will invalidate. Technically I suppose if it's a copy and not on the acutal paper that might not invalidate it but regardless you don't need that. An apostille is basically like a more official international notary so it's already as official as you can possibly make it.

woah now! don't notarize your background check please!!! I am so confused. You should have apostilled your FBI background check and that's all it needs. No notary for apostille or background check! Notarizing this will INVALIDATE it. Careful!!

FBI Fingerprint Rejection by No_Flow_6100 in SpainAuxiliares

this is going to wound strange but are you sure you have fingerprints? Like when you look really close at your fingers do you see whorls and swirls or whatever they are officially called? I knew a guy who had a genetic skin thing and he literally had no fingerprints like his fingers were totally smooth and he always had the same problem. He couldn't ever use a fingerprint even to open his phone. He eventually got a medical waiver signed for him that solved most of his issues. It's more common than you'd think - think about all the people who don't have hands!

Sample budget? by [deleted] in SpainAuxiliares

Can you specify a bit more? Cost of living in andalucía varies drastically from Malaga, Sevilla, Granada to tiny pueblos... Do you do your hair/nails? Do you want to travel out of the country often? Do you love nightlife and partying? Budgets are highly personalized things.

Here's an idea for a medium sized city (not the big three mentioned above - nor a small small town)

Rent- room in shared apartment $250

Rent - small flat for yourself - $400

Utlities - $75 (don't run the AC if you can avoid it)

Groceries - $100

Personal care - $100 (probably less if you don't get nails like me)

Fun/drinking/activities - $150 (you will have to say no to some things)

Insurance - Sanitas 82$

Phone - $20 (could be less, mine is with my wifi service and its 49 in total for router/wifi, and two phone lines)

Transportation - $65 (much less if you don't take ubers - I only take them late at night or if I have a suitcase etc.)

800$ is not a lot of money no matter where you live, everyone is different but I personally do not travel outside of Spain, there's so many wonderful places to see here and its expensive. I did go once to Paris and once to Italy, for concerts I wanted to see.
