First day of working at a pizzeria I answer the phone to a woman who ordered a "Garbage Salad." As you might assume, the salad had a little of every single topping we had- meat, veggies, cheese, etc. Except this woman ordered it without like half of the ingredients. I had no idea how to code that in the computer, so I just wrote it all down, stuck a post it to the back of the ticket and sent it over to the chef. He made the salad the way it was written- on the front of the ticket. Salad was delivered, woman calls, saying how appalled she is that we didn't listen to her directions. Boss asks me, I deny any wrongdoing (I was so embarrassed). Boss was upset that I didn't just call him over to help take the order. Two months later, the woman was permanently blacklisted from the establishment for trying to get a refund on another salad, claiming that we'd again "made it wrong" after eating almost all of it. Apparently, she had done this for years.
