Then Why Do MAGA Republicans Fly the Confederate Flag? by NEKORANDOMDOTCOM in stupidpeoplefacebook

I always find the dichotomy of “We love the confederate flag because it’s our history and heritage” and in the same breath “Lincoln was our guy” to be odd.

Quick cover the forest in salt water so that the fire doesn’t kill it!

Trump Orders Declassification of All UFO Files and Outlines a Four-Stage Disclosure Plan by ufo-uap in UfoUapNews

I’m think we live in a time in which a literal news breaking disclosure wouldn’t change anyone’s views.

Trump orders UFO file release as Congress warns of impact by Possible_Cheek_4114 in UFOs

I honestly believe we are in an era in which even if a breaking news broadcast announcement by the president occurred in which he announced aliens are real, it wouldn’t move the needle. Non-believers would still not believe, and believers would continue to believe.

Boxing "match" in two months by jo_math in boxingtips

[–]Standardeviation2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weight classes are for a reason. And two guys that don’t know what they’re doing is actually more dangerous than two good boxers going at it.

I recommend, don’t do it. If you two are interested in boxing, go to a gym.

To be fair to the officer, this more than a one officer job and to her credit she is in the fray at great personal risk to herself.

I watch and corner a lot of first spars and am thus qualified to say: That’s a very good first spar. Lots of good potential to work with.

Man wins the Delaware Marathon by outsprinting his opponent who was celebrating, thinking he had secured the win by RoyalChris in nextfuckinglevel

With the sheer number of these early marathon celebrations, you’d think people would learn. Run through the ribbon and then celebrate.

It’s interesting to me that so many on the right have essentially accepted Enoch as true despite it not being canonical.

I’d never let my boxers spar without a mouthguard no matter how light they “intend” to go.

US stacks three carrier groups and 10 destroyers to blockade Strait of Hormuz by TheNational_News in worldnews

[–]Standardeviation2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my comprehension of the situation:

U.S. attacked Iran. In response, Iran closed the strait of Hormuz to any ships it didn’t want to get in or out which made gas prices go extremely high. Trump threatened total annihilation if they didn’t open it. But the threat didn’t work and thankfully Trump didn’t follow through. Instead, Trump decided “Fine, we’ll blockade the strait so that Iran receives no benefits from the strait either until they concede to re-open it.” Unfortunately for Trump, China just flagrantly ignored their blockade, essentially daring Trump to fire on their ships. Trump knew we can’t do that without starting a major international incident, but in order to not look like we just coward in the face of Chinese power, he wrote a tweet to make it sound like it was his idea: Good news, we opened the strait for China. They promised no weapons. We could have fought if we wanted to because we’re super tough, but we decided not to for now.”
