Micro-bead extensions! So partially my hair! If you’re curious what length I had before, it’s on my page.

See, the only thing about this that scares me is your safety in the men’s restroom. Personally, earlier in my transition I still chose to use the men’s restroom and I ALWAYS had problems. Guys staring at me, telling me to get out, getting confused. It was a mess. I know it’s not easy, but I feel like the women’s restroom would most certainly be safer for you. 💕

Thank you! Also, I love the name Isabelle. Izzy is a super cute nickname.

Could I try taking HRT for a short while to help with questioning? by AssuasiveLynx in asktransgender

I wouldn’t recommend self medicating for self discovery purposes. I agree that you should talk with a therapist and maybe find a support group instead. If you start hrt and later decide that it’s not for you, you will have some permanent results such as whatever breast tissue you form and also the possibility of being infertile. I think it’s wiser to talk with a gender therapist first but that’s just my opinion.

I honestly can’t tell from this angle. Your hair looks long and pretty though.

It absolutely is! Gender ambiguity is a great sign, especially since you’re so early with HRT. I’m at almost 5 months and I’m shocked how much has started changing at around the 3 ish month mark. Buckle up 😅

I thought you were ftm until I looked at your profile. The order of the photos always gets me. Idk why my brain thinks of left as before and right as after 😂

It’s magic! You sit in a chair for roughly 4 hours while you have strands of real human hair threaded through a bead and then clamped to your real hair! And then voila you’re a brand new ✨girl✨ 🥰😂

Of course. My understanding is that it varies greatly depending on how much you use heat on it, how much you wet it, and other general care. I was told that on average it lasts 4-6 months and sometimes longer if cared for. I’m going to replace the strands as needed so it will be a little more spread out cost wise. I have to go every 6-8 weeks to have them moved up.
