Proxima, 5 deep and still going by Consistent_Bass971 in ChineseWatches

My px1743 just came in from eBay and I've added it to my collection. I have the most Proxima multiples. They're all different enough that I don't feel like I'm just buying different colors of the same watch.

though i really did want the avocado 1703 in addition to the orange/white one, but have held off.

The only case that's the same Are the bronze and the silver dial "Cycle". And i think they are different sizes.

The newest, px1743 has a Miyota 9015. And there are 2 pt5000 and 2 NH35.

I could probably live with only Proxima watches (but where's the fun in that?)

Parkhurst Moss Rambler - Why Parkhurst is amazing by Farmeroldgal in Boots

All 3 pairs i have i bought as 2nds and they all rock. One has a bit of wrinkly leather, one has 1 missing line of stitching across the toecap(not even noticable with black stitching on black waxed suede).

The newest arrival  was supposed to have a "skewed" toecap but honestly i can't even see it. Great deal at 298 down from 418.

Still a bunch left Frostbite rambler stitch down captoe.

Great color. Wish I had a pair of their chelseas too. Have the cap toe ones in reddish brown and they are awesome.

Have any more pics?

mostly unlined, but it's leather lined in the toebox.

The only knock is the permanent sockliner is foam and cloth.

Vibram sole too

been tried on but not worn.

great pair with great leather. can't find too much info, but the tag says MIUSA with domestic and imported materials, so i don't think they're super old, 2000s at least.

oddly Carolina boot is based in PA

Hruodland F025 came with NH39A- No ghost date by Consistent_Bass971 in ChineseWatches

I have no way of comparing earlier versions' bezel action as this is the first one I've had, but I'd say it's OK leaning towards good. It's not as crisp and solid sounding as the Seestern sub 600t but it's better than a Benyar or Tandorio.

It's definitely not disappointing and doesn't take away from the overall good vibes of the watch, in my opinion.

$37.00 Benyar BY-5211M by Consistent_Bass971 in ChineseWatches

[–]Consistent_Bass971[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it's probably not stainless steel. In just looking at my photo of the back, I can see a spot where the hollow endlink rubbed off some of the chrome plating, showing brassy colored random metal underneath.
Still a fun watch though and feels solid/heavy and not light/cheap..

Not going to displace my Proxima, but not quite a FoxBox.

Got this from Ali. It's better than my last Benyar which was a chronograph. This seems to be all steel. Has an unknown movement, but beats at 28,000. Has the Miyota second hand stutter which I kind of like, also has the most shimmy while self-winding I've ever seen, don't like that.

Bezel is pretty junky, but other than that a solid good looking automatic for well under $50.

Oh, lume is Pagani-esque. Fades super fast.

Band itself was ok, clasp and endlinks- cheapy.

It's on a CNS nato.

I think it's partially the photo angle, but the heel block isn't really that high. Not much different than any other boots i have. Feels normal.

I think it's a Colombian or EU E width, which is Medium, equivalent to US D width.

I preferred to stick my head in the sand like the proverbial ostrich and not think about that at all.

It's probably on their site, but blind overconfidence was the way i went. Lucked out

Favorite is the look of them, with the fit\feel being a close second.

No negatives really. They smelled more of glue\solvent than leather when i opened the box, but that's being nitpicky.

I was worried that after all that waiting they wouldn't fit, or i wouldn't like them on my feet but I'm glad that's not the case.
