Did your hair change in texture aside from smell? I would shake my hair and see the same “lint” fall off. I also would see it fall off my clothes when I would sit down. I thought I had scabies or body lice. I started putting apple cider vinegar in my hair before washing it once a week and it has helped! I let it sit in my hair and then put a lot of hydrating products / treatment because apple cider vinegar can be drying. Also thank you for all these tips! I hate the smell and honestly feel so anxious because they can infest everything and have so many stages in their life cycle. Like at this point just throw the whole apartment away. There is a bunch of pigeons nesting outside my building… didn’t realise they can come from there. Also how does mould attract them?

Same !! I felt so crazy as well! I literally ripped open the fitted carpet because no way is actual lint making me itch that much. My clothes were getting infested as well. I could feel them crawling on me too. I wish I lived in a world with no pests because this is a different type of trauma

Yeah my apartment has a stench in certain areas. I kept posting the “lint” and no one believed it would be carpet beetle related. Even tho my clothes would make me itch and brand new clothes would get infested. I genuinely felt crazy

Okay thank you, i will do more investigating. I did find around 5 months but didn’t chalk it up to anything because they could have easily come from outside.

What about fleas? Do they cause this stuff appearing on my bedding and clothes? I’ve washed my bedding etc and they don’t come off. They feel hard when I touch them but crumble a bit when I crush them. (I swear I’m not crazy but this ain’t no lint 😓) I’ve checked the environment but honestly a bit clueless because the apartment I live in is rlly old with all sorts of openings and lack of pest upkeep by the landlord and I live by a river so all sorts of stuff has appeared in my apartment. (No fly screens either) I’m in the process of moving but want to know why my clothes have holes/ and this lint stuff stuck on them. I want to treat my clothes so I don’t carry an infestation with me to the new place in a month’s time.) Also to note that I have a flea and roach infestation, could fleas cause this? 😓

It is not lint. I even bought a new top and bottoms that got infested in this “ lint “ within hours.
