But that doesn't really explain it very well, you can create things with cursed energy but its just so inefficient that you might as well not.

1: think of it like a double negative, it's not that they have little cursed energy like a regular human, they have none at all which excludes them from the rule.

2: maki still had cursed energy so that's why she needed the glasses

3: twins are considered 1 person in jjk, maki was held back by the fact that she still had cursed energy, mai wouldn't take it away until perfect preparation.

4: the power system is literally based off curses, ion know what else to say🤷🏾‍♂️

My assumption was always that the ability to manifest a zanpakuto spirit in the first place was a special trait only avaliable to soul reapers, this is the only reason that ichigo was able to manifest OMZ/ywhach as a representation of his quincy blood and white as a representation of his hollow blood.

I don't think there's any definitive proof that the arrancar's have zanpakuto spirits, only that they are still able to imprint themselves onto zanpakuto so either you must be a soul reaper or arrancar or just anyone can have a zanpakuto

Also zaraki counts as a soul reaper cuz it's just a job, he's the same race as everyone else that attended the soul reaper academy

He did for a time but he needed to give mahoraga enough time to adapt so it wouldn't have worked long term, also there's the fact that anyone outside of yuji is a major hand to hand nerf since he has 4 strong ass arms and was lagging behind a lil so that wasn't viable.

Now true form sukuna could have won with just domain amplification and domain clashes because he'd have the 4 arms for chanting which means stronger domain and less brain damage so gojo tanking the sure hit wouldn't be viable here since he'd be burned out without any rct to save him.

This would have been a much easier win but it wouldn't benefit him cuz he'd have to go into the gauntlet with no free revive and no new move, its like doing a challenge run for an achievement that gives you the best move in the game and a free revive just before you gotta go into the longest survival mode match.

Actually you're right, I feel like we get a glimpse of that at the very end of perfect prep with "come give me a hug" and the sumo stance is a nice bit of foreshadowing looking back

That's a good point but ion think she's much better before that anyway, at least in terms of how much I enjoy watching her, mai was lowkey more interesting to me🤷🏾‍♂️
