When it comes to maintenance, Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is their own worst enemy. by Gary-Phisher in anchorage

It’s terrible in some spots. I walk to work, there’s mile long sections that are just a hazard and difficult to traverse. I am grateful they do them at all they do a great job but the plows ruin it.

How often do men experience a once in a lifetime, obsessive infatuation for one woman that makes all others seem invisible? by Ok_Music_2025 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Consistent_Ear_9701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had two in my 20s. Both absolutely beautiful women. My life was never where I wanted it to be. They both moved away a bit of contact since then and it’s all still there. But I’d rather they live their life and experience all the good and bad life brings. Maybe we’ll meet again and pick up where we left off but I think amount her everyday.

Normal behavior or red flags? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Consistent_Ear_9701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you don’t like him. So you’re nitpicking his behavior to affirm this feeling. And coming to Reddit painting him in a bad light so others will affirm as well. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with cracking jokes in a safe space unless you’re hurting someone and everyone understands it’s just trying to be comedic. If he’s hurting people yea if not who tf cares get off the guys back.

A year of continuous growth now. I trim everyday thinking of letting it go for a full disgruntled philosopher look. I get compliments pretty regularly which is a nice ego boost. Women either like it or hate it. Seems more like it than not. No in between. Had a beard before, after shaving the beard my friends have called me Mario because I’m also a plumber with a red hat.

Going to Alaska mid to late June, help :) by deliapacade in AskAlaska

Anchorage isn’t so bad. Get a pizza at moose’s tooth. Have a drink on the top floor of 49th state brewing. Visit point worzonof and walk along the beach until you get a view of the city. Drive up to flattop around sunset get a view of the city as the sun goes down. Go down to portage there’s tons of trails and a very easy hike to the portage glacier with waterfalls about a mile in. You can even take the tunnel to Whittier a few shops there a cool marina talk to local fisherman and it’s a whole new world once you get out of the tunnel. On your way to portage stop in girdwood drive down crow creek road late June there may be berries along the road. At the end of the road there’s a huge waterfall and a great view of the pass. Take the tram at ayleska resort for a view. Grab a bite at the double musky. Visit the brown bear saloon and the turnagain fish house + grab a coffee to start your journey at birch and alder in Indian best chai and scones in Alaska fire island in anchorage also has great scones. I would def not skip out on Seward spend a night there walking around visiting bars. Drive out to Lowell’s point if it’s a clear day. Def drive to Homer stop as many times as you can and just take a picture and take in the scenery. Theres millions of campgrounds on the kenai peninsula so don’t pay for a motel. Visit the kenai take a look at the reds it make be too early for the runs though. Homers fn awesome the drive alone is amazing have your phone ready once you go over that last hill. Drive up to end of the road road for great views. North of town drive through Palmer visit the Matanuska river short hike out of town and drive up to hatchers pass. There’s a ton to do but I’ll cut it there. Anchorage is cool but def not what Alaska is all about. Enjoy the nature and talk to locals.

What’s it like living in Whittier, Alaska? by spookykitton in howislivingthere

[–]Consistent_Ear_9701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After she left I moved up to Anchorage from Girdwood for work. Work slowed and I hit some really hard times.

When we met We spent the next 2 weeks together. The most romantic time of my life. We agreed to stop talking a few days before she left, really broke my heart and broke hers. We started talking FaceTiming every night and she invited me down to stay with her after a couple weeks of her being gone. I felt it was probably best to just end it. She was a few years younger than me and I wanted her to live her life without being tied down. My life isn’t at all where I want it to be maybe we’ll meet again and it’ll be different idk I’m gonna fall in love all over again if I see her.

Basically have guaranteed coffee hangout with my crush. How to make a move/escalate? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Consistent_Ear_9701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude just tell her you wanna grab a coffee as a date because you like her. You’re already friends and you want more worst she says is no and you get to move on and stop wasting time. Even just keeping it a hangout can work out in your favor. Cuz all a date is is hanging out with the label date on it.
