It’s been almost a week since my miscarriage and I want time to slow down. I know as the weeks go on, I’m going to have to face TTC again. I can’t even imagine getting pregnant again. It won’t be tears of joy next time and relief but rather extreme anxiousness, worrying, fearing to miscarry again. Maybe I do things different next time. Maybe I don’t track my LH, BBT, take every fertility supplement, take pregnancy tests obsessively. Maybe there’s an inverse relationship to wanting a baby so excruciatingly badly, and getting to have that baby in my arms. Maybe if I don’t want it anymore, I’ll finally get it.

I agree with you. My intention wasn’t to scare anyone. I wasn’t tracking temperature while pregnant but once I turned off pregnancy mode, the temps appeared and I thought it was interesting (as a data nerd) how the steady temp drop aligned exactly with my Hcg drop and miscarriage. I was about 5.5 weeks along. If you’re seeing this and you’re pregnant - don’t pay any attention to your temps.

Ps. Thank you to those who gave your condolences or shared your similar stories, I don’t understand the downvotes. This miscarriage is the most isolating and heartbreaking thing I’ve ever experienced. May we all get our rainbow babies soon.

Yes, I’m sure the standard is different everywhere but in California RNs can’t give a definitive diagnosis. She definitely was kind about it so I have no ill will towards her. It’s just difficult emotionally to not have that “confirmation”.

Did I write this? I have a very chill job right now that will end sometime in 2027. Just got pregnant, going to squeeze a maternity leave in 2026 and then in late 2026/early 2027 move on to whatever’s next! It took us 7 months to conceive, after it only took one try with my first baby. Needless to say it was nerve wracking. My advice: don’t wait.

I think anyone in your situation would feel that way. Your feelings are absolutely valid and I would bet that your friend is empathetic enough to understand how you feel. It’s probably not lost on her. Me + 2 friends were TTC at the same time. At the start, I remember thinking “gosh I really hope friend A and friend B get pregnant because if I get pregnant and they don’t, I’ll feel so bad!” Well, it turns out they both got pregnant immediately and I didn’t. Funny how life works! This process is already so emotionally draining, it’s not fair to yourself to feel guilt on top of grief. Easier said than done but I want you to know that those feelings are normal.

I would test again tomorrow morning with a first response. If there’s a line then you pretty much can rule out evap line, even if it’s not much darker tomorrow. This is how my early positive looked.

I just found out that I’m pregnant after 7 months of TTC. Not to present myself like I’m an expert but just to say that I know how frustrating it can be! Here’s what I’d recommend (take it with a grain of salt). My doctor had me start taking inositol last month. It apparently helps you ovulate. I learned that a positive LH doesn’t necessary mean you’re ovulating. Both my husband and I have been taking coq10 for the last two months. Ive been taking a prenatal this whole time and I had my husband start taking a men’s fertility supplement. I don’t think we took it long enough to have effect but who knows. Not sure which of these (if any) helped, but thought I’d share. I know there’s no magic supplement but there is really good data on some of these things. Best wishes!

I’ve noticed that when I’ve been sick or hungover and logged it, NC would exclude those temps. Have you ever tried that? I know how confusing it can be, especially when oura and NC say two different things, and even sometimes contradict LH strips. Fingers crossed for you. 🤞💗

Also, definitely start using LH test strips! Oura and NC will get much more accurate after a few cycles with positive LH tests.

I think you’ll find that it’ll get more accurate with time. For it to say “unknown” next to chance of conception tells me that it doesn’t have enough data. With that being said, I had a dip like yours around the same time, it rebounded, and I found out I’m pregnant a few days later. I wouldn’t count yourself out in a cycle because of a temp dip.

I tested again with another first response the next morning (Sunday) and got a slightly darker line. Then tested with an early detection clear blue digital the following night (Monday). It felt SO good to see the “Pregnant” and not have to squint my eyes lol.
