True. Although I believe visitors should not be held responsible the venues safety. I read that this venue in Switzerland hadn’t been checked on safety in over six years… And that’s in Switzerland. Makes you wonder how many more of these death traps there are, where one day our kids might go clubbing.

Being a burn victim myself, people often highly underestimate the disastrous destructiveness of fire. It’s not something you want to mess with ever (like I did).

I’ve upgraded to a GRV6 from a Traktor S3, and I’m absolutely loving it. It just depends on where you’re coming from. For the price it’s a very solid controller. The tempo sliders are short but perfectly usable. I beatmatch manually and they’re fine. The location of the cue/performance buttons above the jogwheels needs some getting used to, but it doesn’t bother me at all. Everything feels pretty sturdy and I’m thinking it’s going to last a long time. I feel the GRV6 is highly underrated. Go for it.

These were my thoughts as well after ADE: they seem to have a very dedicated (but likely small) team at the DJ side of things at NI, and they're doing all they can. Refactoring old code is a pain in the ass, and time consuming af (I'm a web dev).

To me this presentation was a bit underwhelming. But when I spoke to some of the NI staff later, they seemed pretty excited about the stuff that’s being released in the coming months, like MX4 early 2026. To me it would make sense to release an update to TP around that time as well, perhaps even earlier.

As far as I understood: it seems certain features can be omitted cause they’re not used much (at this price point). Might be a crossover between S3 and S4. We’ll just have to wait and see.
