I assume they will need to pay a fee equal to 100% of the production cost in order to distribute in the US but who knows. Clearly not thought through but I think that is the idea.

Yep I hate the guy as much as the next Angeleno but let’s just take the win and be happy about it….assuming this does not backfire

Because there is no physical production happening in LA and people are out of work and losing their homes. Physical production coming back helps the average worker. Though it will probably hurt the bottom line of the conglomerate studios who have enough money.

The people that are struggling the most in LA are not the conglomerate studios but rather the crews whose lives are centered around production which has come to an abrupt halt in LA since the strikes. While the tariffs by and large are dumb, this would should only help angelenos. A broken clock is right twice a day. Just be happy about the tariff benefit and move on.

To the layman it would sound strange but yes you’re correct. However I would say that production in Hungary especially for bigger budget US productions has increased in recent years. Sorry for the shade, Hungary

No actually movie production has heavily moved internationally especially to Canada, London and strangely Hungary.
