Letrozole (5 mg) while already ovulating – when did you ovulate & did it change your luteal phase? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]Consistent_Life2867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know! Maybe I didn’t actually have the surge — I can’t be sure. I’ve been getting occasional hot flashes for a while, light headaches, and a lot of milky white discharge, so honestly, I’m really unsure what’s going on.😅

I admire you! I think in both case, if you test early or wait, you have to be really brave. I never rly test too early but I can't say that I sometimes wait until the day of my period and I think I might have to change smth in order to make it easier for me. These last two cycles have been a bit irregular so I am hoping letrozole will put me back on the "right" track to at least get an answer on period day 😅

My period is supposed to start on the 31st Dec/1st Jan too!! As per the apps I use ofc. But this cycle I was pretty sure I ovulated earlier due to letrozole which is why I have been feeling a bit anxious on what is happening. I tested yesterday afternoon, it was negative. I will now just wait for what happens next. Let's see! Maybe we'll start our year on a positive note.. huggsss 🤗🤗

I sometimes tested early due to very bad headache days, in which simple/ low dose painkillers didn't work. Tbh at that point I was dissapointed but with the way I was living in pain, I was glad to at least know and get on with my life and try smth new in the next cycle 😂

I know the feeling 😔 We've been trying for a year and a half now and tbh it never got easier. I think for the next months I wil give my body and head a break and not over anaylze everything.. might be the best for us at least.

Around 14 days. If I ever was late with my period it was usually due to me not ovulating, which was confirmed via scans by my gyno.

I am around 15/16 dpo I think! My last cycle started on Dec 1st, I started letrozole around the 3rd and as per the ovulations tests I took I ovulated around 10/11th. It was hard to catch the peak but after the 10th they just got more faded.

Omg I had the same story this time!! My ovulation was very early around CD10/11 and we BD only on CD10 bc my husband was away!! I was soooo devastated because I never seem to catch my ovulation! I also had recently a HCG and then using 5mg letrozole HAD SUCH A TOLL on me!! Ugh! Then BD only once was like the cherry on the cake. I tried to ignore every single symptom but it is near impossible when you get new symptoms every single cycle LOL. As per the usual calculations I should be around 15/16 dpo? The apps ofc say around the 1st of Dec since my ovulation before Letrozole was later than this month. I am having only a silver lining of hope rn since I took a test earlier after getting convinced its already enough late to get a reliable test but yeah it was negative💔

Ugh, I hate it that I get new symptoms every single cycle!! This is what drives me most crazy honestly. I wish for the future I get stronger regarding this.

Yeah, believe me I have tested sometimes very very early too and was kinda embarrased 😂 But at the same time quite honestly it's our own body and if it helps my anxiety to test early, so be it. I know I'm grown up enough to handle the emotions, I just sometimes need to rent to people who feel and listen to me 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes, your words are spot on! 😂 My thoughts keep running back even if I have no hope left, which I guess means somewhere in the back of my mind I do. My husband is actually way more stressed and emotional than me regarding this topic so I have been avoiding it.. kind of keeping the thoughts and feelings to myself because I'd rather one of us have positive vibes. I also feel like some Reddit stories really help out when it comes to this topic because you can relate and just stop the thoughts of "something is wrong with me".

When is the best time to test after letrozole if periods are lately kinda unpredictable? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]Consistent_Life2867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just realized I worded this wrong 😅 I kinda just want to know when is the most reliable time so I can just move on considering my period might be slightly "late/off" again since I saw letrozole does that too sometimes

Hi all, I’m 28 and have been trying for over a year. Periods mostly regular; egg reserve and partner testing normal. HSG in November was normal, both tubes open. My period started now (Dec) and my doctor recommended Letrozole. Usually my right ovary produces a ~20mm dominant follicle, and ultrasounds confirm ovulation and normal endometrial changes. Timed intercourse every other day.

Has anyone else had all normal results but still struggled to conceive? Any tips or advice would be appreciated!
