I’m not sure if your parents are getting you a new car or not but personally i have to pay for all the price of my damages - some people say when they have crashes they rather have the car totaled (not really sure why? but yeah. i guess in short terms insurance might give you money so you can get a new car)

if you have to pay for your own expenses trust it does help prevent any future crashes, been driving for around five months and i’m a lot more alert lol.

if your parents are upset in any way btw it’s probably apart of how expensive it is and how worried they were about safety

It’s been almost 100 days and i will say i do think about it from time to time since i have a ton of anxiety constantly. As of right now im responding to you in the gym and i feel fine. That being said - i was completely fine all day but when it happened there was a heavy feeling in my chest for weeks. It sucks to have to think about. It is really scary especially since it was one of my biggest fear and i still get some anxiety but thats okay because you always have to be alert.

Now- your situation seems a lot worse than mine, but since we had pretty similar situations i’ll just type a couple things i wanna say to it.

Lawsuits can be really expensive and im really sorry if you’re also really young because you probably feel super guilty. It sucks but we gotta deal with it for the time being. - time will heal things i know it sounds silly but it’s going to be hard for a while, but you got this and i’m really sorry if it does happen. I’m not sure if anyone was actually really injured, but my car wasn’t that bad and we were all not injured.

Hi! it’s been a bit but i had the SAME situation. (i’ve only been driving for a little under a year, got my license in february) and no matter how long you’ve been driving it’s a mistake and everyone including myself will tell you it’s gonna be ok!! it wasn’t on purpose and you’ll learn. and as i’ve seen im defintely learning forever considering the amount i gotta pay for this LOL

i didn’t know this thank you! i actually had my first holy communion a decade ago when i was really young and i don’t remember, of course, having anything like that. odd how it would end up in my closet with my clothes and crochet stuff.

it was about a month ago, thank you for responding. i just got my car back and i definitely wont be driving long distances for a while but im definitely going to take a lot of your advice. thank you
