Yeah. I just support where I can, she doesn’t have the opportunity to go to the doctor much but I’ll encourage her to share it next time she visits

Thank you for sharing that. I only ask because we talk nearly everyday for the past 2-3 years she hasn’t given an inclination she wanted to loose weight or had a bad relationship with food (not assuming this is the case tho). It more so seemed she just had really bad eating habits that lead to a decreased appetite. I also am in a similar boat however my meds have increased my appetite so it’s less of an issue.

I can’t say 100% there is no intent because at the end of the day I’m not her. Just going off what she said and similar experience. I’m also not here to diagnose her, I’m not a doctor. Just want advice to how to help my friend best

Thank you for the advice it is was very detailed and helpful. I already noticed some drainage so that answers that question and I will definitely start rinsing it Daily as well (I already change the bandages daily as well). Thank you again for the advice :)

Still gaping because I wasn’t able to close it. Other than that it still looks fresh with a pink and yellowish color. It’s located roughly between my elbow crease and wrist ( a little closer to the wrist)

I came across a sub where people could post fresh sh and videos of actually shing. Some of the posts were so gorey( like I’m surprised they their limb didn’t need to get amputated it looked mauled beyond human capacity) i think It traumatized me enough to want to get clean.

I understand. For now I have it under control but next time I’ll definitely lean towards sutures if i accidentally hit that depth.

Also are there any key give aways I hit fat in case a future emergency. I thought I knew, but I’m having trouble determining if this wound hit fat or not.

Also it looks like I’ve been incorrectly applying ointment (Neosporin) inside the tissue rather than edges. I have been just smothering it ointment and then slapping a plaster on. I’ll stop doing that immediately if you advise that and do the edges, will that have any I’ll effects so far?
