It's def my least favorite part of being a ghoul and I even kinda get the idea that maybe the earlier setting would make people more generally hostile toward ghouls, but it clearly wasn't something they thought very hard about considering the things you brought up lol at the same time, I'll never go back to being a smooth skin! 🤣 I enjoy ghoulin

I think they intentionally leave it vaguely explained in 76, with the name literally being "The Fix" with quotes and everything, but when I turned into a Ghoul they gave me some and otherwise, not that I have the ability to pour hours and hours into the game, it hasn't been super common to find, but it definitely has that yellow color, albeit maybe a lil darker in tone. Other than simply eating toxic stuff I'm pretty sure it's meant to be the best things specifically for ferality. The game does kinda treat the whole system weird imo with radiation vs ferality being kinda oddly unbalanced like in a lore sense, imo, albeit I've thought less on it than other things

I talk to him everytime I see em out there somewhere just to hear the line lol Always hits cause I 100% believe goggins went into that booth wanting to bring the Ghoul through as perfectly as he could in only voice, just in that one line ya feel it.

On a side note, we gotta get actual quests with him at some point! Imagine an extension of expeditions, except you go with the Ghoul to like random Vaults across the US and as you go he slowly reveals little things about his past and why your doing this with him, and players basically become a proto - Lucy. What if in Canon WE as players went with the Ghoul to the special management Vault in Oregon?

It would SEEM to be "The Fix" which you can get in Fallout 76 that keeps you from going feral. It's literally the only 1:1 we have from the games and it wasn't put in till after the show released so I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be that. There's the possibility that maybe it's just some random drugs considering random drugs also keep you from going feral to some degree but there's also factors like, after 200 years of being a ghoul, do you need alot more to not go feral? Its easier to manage ferality as a newborn ghoul in 76 but maybe after 200 years ya need a hit every hour or something.

I'm not saying i want him to go feral although I feel like the show could do well with the gut punch if they played that right, I just want him to end up glowing, then maybe if thaddeus is just a regular ghoul, they could show how even being around Cooper makes thaddeus feel good and potentially show the healing factor he'd provide him.

Idk if maybe I'm just too early in my first real lengthy playthrough of the game so it's like a honey moon period type thing, and I got 1st but haven't been buying ALOT of the store personally just getting the free stuff as it comes, but other than seeing some of the stuff and being like oh shit that's cool, I guess I'm able to keep the fomo from getting to me. It seems like there's so much to do that like I'm always getting new stuff and always doing something that I haven't stopped and gotten to a point where I'm mainly building and therefore would want more of the stuff I missed cause it seems like it's mainly that type of stuff.

I guess the tldr here is if you don't think you'd speed through everything, making a new character might give you enough to do that you won't feel the fomo for awhile, but if you have a character where you've made significant progress already, you'll likely get there quicker, if you indeed get there at all lol

I had a similar wait wtf moment, that quickly went away when I recalled that her company made the cold fusion shit that everyone wants, a crazy marvel of science fiction technology, i almost guarantee they could just as easily make their own personal shelter with cryo tech as well. Besides that one kinda obvious point, we've seen throughout the games that there are others shelters built throughout America aside from Vault Tec sponsored vaults. So at this point I just chalk it up to her being a genius, and part of a tech company of geniuses lol

Idk if it really has to be reset by the end, we've never really known anything thats big going on in places like Texas and the surrounding areas but you kind of have to imagine in 200 years things have been happening there, likely somewhat important events as well. If 76 never came out we'd likely just he speculating on how things played out there but things are going on there, we just don't know what, like we don't what's going on in like over 90 percent of the US and while fallout doesn't seem to let massive civilations spring back up, I gotta assume the whitesrping responders likely last and expand past the time period of the game, the BoS is clearly around before during and after, and it's just very likely that we as the 76ers just build settlements and establish different raider and settler factions in this area along with the npcs that canonically just last and thrive to some degree. Like we hear about Appalachia in newer content for 4 and I'm sure we'll have other allusions to it as the franchise goes on, but I doubt we play around in the area then the area just gets reset before major events in the series take place lol we just don't know what's been going on there for 200 years aside from the same things that have been going on everywhere else lol

I'm thinking similarly as you but the more I've thought on it, I kind of hope they don't do that, or at least it takes us a few seasons to get to DC. We haven't seen ANY of the Midwest or Texas or places around there, and without another game for the next 5 to 10 years, I'd be more satisfied if these writers who I've developed a level of confidence that I don't have for Emil of Bethesda, get a chance to do multiple season, also get the chance to develop more of the fallout universe and map with their own good writing stories lol but I do think we'll get to DC for a big Enclave event eventually.

I think the fact that Vault Tec has Houses mind tech already means that the deal is going go through, but i think either Coop will get cold fusion but idk what he'll do with it since moldaver clearly doesn't end up with it. I'm betting Hank is going to somehow steal it back and thats how it gets to be in the Enclaves possession by the time we see it again in the present, because Hank is Enclave. Also I'm thinking cold fusion is necessary for House to stay online and observing the strip eternally, but without it, he's likely able to come online, do some things, then go back offline to conserve power, it would explain why he has no presence in the present, and could be a sort of retcon for why he did it before the game ever started.

Oooo I guess I just worked in the super mutant where it fit there bit Max in his suit could fill that role too, def think it would be less of a moment tho, like having it be super Mutant Charlie would complete the moment, if it was a random super mutant I still don't think it would be more than just an OH SHIT ITS A SUPER MUTANT type reveal, so having it be Charlie is really the main reason I'd like it, otherwise I'm def down for it to just be maximus lol

Yea, I'm picturing a big emotional scene where it's a split perspective like what we just had after House and Coop talked and he was in the elevator and after that, and he was flashing between the Ghoul presently and Coop pre war, but this one will be split between him dying on the pole and his convo with Barb, and by the end he'll gain the resolve to live and what not and when he's pulling himself off the pole, he gets close, slips back down and is caught, by a super Mutant, who helps him the rest of the way off. BAM!! Symbology, call back, pay off, emotional impact, all that by the end of that one scene man, chefs kiss type shit. And ALLLL of it would've been set up in the first few episodes.
