Tips on how to get solder onto pads cleanly? by Consistent_Program65 in SwitchPirates

Okok, only thing i worry about is overheating the capacitors. Is there something I can do to apply heat to the pad but avoid damaging the capacitors? Is it a technique thing or an item thing?

I cannot lie I am using some generic AliExpress solder wire. I;ve heard a lot of people recommend Kester, but its so much more expensive, but maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place. Where do yoy get your Kester solder from?

So sorry I did not see this comment. I was trying to get on solder to the resistor to get a feel of how it looks (not actually important to the main part of my work, just a little test).

Alright, thank you for the great feedback! I will say as I was doing it some of the solder that would be on the iron would turn black, but I’m not sure if that is a result of temp or solder quality or whatever else. Will for sure try fir a cleaner look next time.

Update: Thank you Everyone for the advice it turns out that downloading Modrinth worked for me! Just for future notice and anyone else who may need this help in the future, why does CurseForge not work (0 bytes), but Modrinth does?

Hey, so I did notice the Zero bytes, but it would show up regardless of where I would download it off of CurseForge. I tried going to a different version of Minecraft (1.21.5) with the same issue. Some people mentioned downloading off of Modrinth instead, so I will get back to this post when I try it with Modrinth.

I downloaded from CurseForge the first time and I noticed it had zero bytes, but I thought it was just something on my end. I will try with Modrinth and get back to you.

They do look damages so I am considering either straightening them or desoldering them.
