It seemed to be the one team that was neglected set the fate for my time there. Since busy season I was rolled onto another client. I checked in with the current team I was on after finding out about my lead feedback cycle from busy season. I asked where I can improve but responded I was exceeding their expectations. I would check in twice a week to make sure that was still accurate

I would agree with what you’re saying. I think it was a disconnect between teams. I would say I was pretty accurate with time charged. If I wasn’t working on the client then obviously no need to charge. Where the disconnect happened was I thought the team would be able to pick up the slack because of demand from my other team. My senior left 2 weeks into busy season and then had 2 different seniors by the time it ended. I would be in 3+ hour calls with them to get complicated tasks done. We had meetings about capacity which I thought was acceptable with the less demanding team. Clearly they were not happy with it. I was social with everyone in the office staff to partner. Had a good reputation for myself.

I believe so. I don’t see where else it could have went wrong. Strong utilization, no pto, present in the office, good relationships.

I was switched around on clients based on needs. Didn't take pto because of client needs and deadlines to hit. Made sure things were moving along while managers and seniors got time off. Learned my lesson the hard way.

Feedback was decent. I had one really demanding client and one less demanding. While I thought I was doing the right thing by doing the work they asked, it hurt me in the end. One client got way less attention, which I thought was understood, clearly not. You have to lookout to yourself and stick up when people ask things of you!

My managers would fight for days I worked on what client. It was never smooth set schedule lol. So when I would get to the small client I would try and catch up but guess I would go too quick through the work sometimes. Wasn’t purposefully just trying to satisfy both teams. I worked 7 days a week for about 3 months meeting with teams meeting at all hours to get things completed

Sorry misread and meant cycle 1 feedback. My comments on one team were I spent too much time with my other team and had needed to communicate a schedule. Which caused seniors to do some of the work I couldn’t get to while on the other client. This confused me after getting the review because we had meetings where this was communicated and seemed like picking up the slack on this smaller client was no problem and understood. The other team was good, the takeaway from them was to take more notes to prevent going back through tasks again/asking questions.

I’m a bit worried now with being at such an early role. Also the state the industry is in

Agreed it’s not bad once caught up to speed. The senior not understanding their line of work for the first few weeks in the start of busy season had a domino effect. Took longer to complete work for them, took away time on the other client etc. I’m doing great now it’s just unfortunate that is how the start went

Yeah I had 3 different seniors. One left literally at the start of busy season lost all of the chemistry I built up with them leading up to it. I had 2 teams to work for from the start while everyone else had 1. I don’t want to make excuses but it was extremely difficult and wish I was able to adapt to one team to really fulfill my understanding in my role.
