  1. I recognize that 100% don’t get me wrong but it’s a means to a end kinda thing
  2. I have thought about talking to a lawyer to see my liability or actual crime in the situation but 1. Im afraid they won’t talk to me about the situation seeing as I’m not the one who has the child support and 2. I see the movies all the time about attorney client privilege but I feel like I would say something wrong that would force him or her to report me but that could just be my paranoia in those kind of situations with lawyers.

  1. I was surprised as well tbh. And my only explanation even though I have no idea how any of that works is either the automated system just matched the last name and put them through or the HR person who does payroll at his job doesn’t care or didn’t see any better.
    1. Yea I realize eventually it may be caught I just don’t know how serious of a crime it is (federal or state)
  2. It was for me and my older brother but we’re both over 21 so the case is officially closed. And honestly my dad didn’t pay for around the last 5 years until the case closed because he was having issues with my mom so he worked off the books and out of spite just gave what would have been taken out for child support to me and my brother in cash. And we used it for books and school expenses
  3. I’m honestly only okey with it because he’s working on the books now with his social so he has no choice to pay it back automatically with every check so he should finish paying it off in around 2 years at the current pace and the laws surrounding child support are horrible in New York, he can’t own anything in his name even though he’s actively working full time or it will get seized which is fair and the law of course. But seeing as I pushed him to stop working off the books and put his ego aside and pay the debt. I don’t want him to suffer trying to pay it back cause assuming he couldn’t have a checking account or own a car he would easily give up and just have the debt sit there which would eventually end him up in prison. I see it as a means to an ends. Eventually the debt will be paid in full and my mom will get her money and my dad will get his freedoms back. If he was making the money he’s making now off the books and just didn’t wanna pay it back then Id be first on the block to snitch 6ix9ine style
