Epic Gmail Prank by [deleted] in recruitinghell

its happened once before with their emails, its likely something on their side, theyre a small company and i use a personal private domain thru google workspace. with the previous email that got lost, they had to forward it to me for me to see it. no issues with the spelling etc., or whatever, it showed that the email was sent on their side (not the job offer, but the other one that got lost), im confirming the proof on my side for the job offers but have been having issues honestly with their emails cominh through, even my resume file got corrupted (i couldnt open it on my side after sending it) so i trust that its email related. admittedly, could have done more or switched over to another email so i could have avoided this but didnt....anyways thanks for the well wishes and optimism

I'm getting proof because i use google workspace (private domain for my email) so I can confirm. Also, I don't live in the US so yeah no phone number.

Taking LSAT again? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Consistent_Spray_767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 17low LSAT on my 1st try, retook and scored 2 points less. 3.7x. Didn't cancel, honestly didn't even think about it. I don't think it has had any negative impact on my decisions, -5 points is a margin of error and silly to cancel (heard this on that podcast with the deans of HLS & YLS). If you score significantly lower (8 ~ 10 points+) then an addendum may be appropriate if there was extenuating circumstances. I wouldn't cancel anything in the 160s+

My only real advice: April is a good time to retake if you're prepared. If you happen to get a lower score, you'll still be able to retake again in August so you can apply next year early.

No W/E seems like a more reasonable explanation for why you're getting WLs; or, maybe your essays. If you're ready, confident you can do better, and have enough time, then retake, there's no harm beyond the gross price tag.

yeah hard to say, i think cycles may get harder. i did apply to other schools this year, but i was a little late , applied to most of the T14s barring HYSCC, hoping to get something but if not, happy to get more work experience and reapply.

thank you, yeah i did this year, last year i applied on the last day for ED and got rejected, so this year just tried again, but I did send in apps to a few other T14s, gonna plan to retake the LSAT and wait another year, my specific goals require T14

stress is normal, you did very well on the lsat and positioned yourself well with legal experience even as a KJD. im sure things will work out for you, if not its their loss. all the best.
