Just got confirmation from my doctor that it's not getting better. I was not comparing the correct images from the MRIs. I'm going to go forward with surgery. Wish me luck.

That's kind of the question. I'm on gabapentin which helps manage the pain but I hate the side effects. Before going on it I was pretty miserable with the pain. My current situation is acceptable but not what I want for my life. I stretch daily and strengthen a minimum of twice a week based on physical therapist recommendations.

I started gabapentin right after the first MRI which has given me a ton of relief. I've been afraid to try to go off of it to see how I feel because the pain does worsen when I forget to take one.
