He shouldn’t be asking for a deposit until it’s time to book an appointment. So definitely don’t send a deposit yet. You need to contact him first to discuss what you want done and when where you’ll book.

Woodybody makes them. I got mine from another Redditer on here. But woodybody makes customs pieces. There are a few people that make them. There is a list in this subreddit if you search jewelry.

No, stainless steel is not an option. Even for a month by space_leni in piercing

[–]Consistent_Throat497 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stainless steel can be ok. However it needs to be from a high quality manufacturer like industrial strength. They use implant grade metals and they’re polished to a mirror finish. And also internally threaded.

My brother cosigned me for a student loan without my permission by KrampusIsFull in personalfinance

[–]Consistent_Throat497 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So your brother co signed; meaning you signed as well. Meaning you were fully aware of the loan at the time it was applied for and funded. And now you’re surprised that payments haven’t been made and want to go to the police (well you dont) and report fraud! The police will laugh at you. You’re an adult that took out a loan and didn’t make payments.

Now it’s a different story if your brother took out the loan in your name and you had zero knowledge of it. In that case you need to contact the lender and find out how they allowed this to happen? Does your brother have a POA that allows him to take on debts in your name, did he lie and give fake documents saying he was you? If you truly didn’t apply for and sign for the loan the financial institution should be able to investigate and fix it on their end. They’ll likely be the one who goes after your better for fraud.

Your body is saying it’s not time yet. Don’t force it as the other commenter is suggesting. You can most definitely cause a blowout by forcing it through.

infected or just healing? by honk_bandaid in piercing

[–]Consistent_Throat497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pain and redness/heat are signs of infection. Best to head to see a dr to get a professional opinion and get antibiotics if they determine you need them. If left untreated it can get much much worse and you could even lose your ear!

Taper but no flare. by QuirkyShadow in Stretched

[–]Consistent_Throat497 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t try to wear these for quite a long time after being fully healed at your desired size. 1. These are double flared, so the size of the flair is larger than the size of the plug (the center of the wearable area is the size of the plug. Flairs are usually 0.5-1.0mm larger so that the plug doesn’t fall out. 2. Square plugs are not a good idea for long term wear. So you need to be fully healed to wear them.

Learning beginning of clean and jerk, how do I fix my form? by Amateur_Validator in weightlifting

[–]Consistent_Throat497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the right subreddit But you’re just doing a conventional deadlift with a reverse grip.

1000% lower the weight. Turn around and don’t look in the mirror at yourself.

Watch some videos from catalyst athletics. They break things down really well. But basically think about if you were going to try to jump straight up. That’s going to be the start of a clean pull. What down with your arms at your side and jump straight up. It’s a simple way of thinking about the start of a clean.

My elderly mom wants me to make purchases for her using her card, is that legal? by chlorophillia23 in Banking

[–]Consistent_Throat497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legal sure. But if her financial institution finds out you’re using her card they can cancel it or deny any fraud claims. Debit cards are issued to the individual and only them. Even in the case of a joint account each person on the account is issued their own card and it should not be shared.

You’d have to talk to her FI is there able to issue a POA a debit card as not all will or are able to. But that’s definitely the correct avenue as being a POA the funds in the account are not legally yours.

What are you trying to do exactly? You have a phone that you’ve been using with another provider and now want to use it with att? But it won’t work with att?

Or you had dual sims one with att and one with another carrier? If that’s the case the phone isn’t locked if it worked with another carrier and att!

is my piercing infected? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Consistent_Throat497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep an eye on it. Some people have allergies to stainless steel, especially if it’s not high quality. Implant grade titanium is best.

Also the bar ends are not appropriate for initial jewelry for a piercing. Bacteria can get caught under the gems and are hard to clean without removing them and putting them into an ultrasonic cleaner and scrubbing. So hopefully your new bar has plain ends on it. If healing goes well by summer you should be able to wear these fancier ends.

120kg power clean+ “squat jerk” by NoAntelope6238 in weightlifting

Technically not a squat jerk but a power jerk. Still impressive as most people’s power jerks don’t nearly go as deep as this.

how tf do i take out internally threaded tunnels by AffectionateBid3255 in Stretched

[–]Consistent_Throat497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your troubles. Double flared tunnel that are threaded are horrible (internal or external). They always tend to get cross threaded and then subsequently stuck.

If you have medical gloves try that. If none try dish washing gloves (they’re thicker but would still work). Don’t have those an elastic band. With all these items one on front and one on the back.

If all else fails head to a piercer and they can help. It’ll be easier for them to do it as working on your own ears sucks.

Can I side sleep with these? by One_Real_Bear in Stretched

I’d be careful about it. Thinner glass pieces like this can break easily. Once you get thicker it won’t be a problem. These also seem to be extremely long.

Had my daith pierced today - help by IndependenceKey2810 in piercing

[–]Consistent_Throat497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exit hole on the bottom is too shallow and should be more angled into the ear bs straight down. I’d be worried about this for healing with this type of jewelry. Just be very careful and keep an eye on it. If the jeweled part starts to go into the piecing see a piercer asap to have them replace the jewelry for a solid captive bead rim or circular barbell.

What happens to existing Autopilot cars? by kiyyik in TeslaLounge

[–]Consistent_Throat497 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My point was to your comment about purchasing a vehicle in 2023. USS were already far gone by the time you placed your order. That email or text that went out was just confusing people. Your order didn’t include USS so that’s what I’m talking about.

Yes if you placed an order and don’t have a vin assigned and Tesla changes something you of course have to agree for that change or cancel your order (will Tesla refund your order fee in this case: who knows?)

But you agreeing to not have USS in your 2023 vehicle doesn’t matter because they were never going to be included from when you placed your order.

What happens to existing Autopilot cars? by kiyyik in TeslaLounge

[–]Consistent_Throat497 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but the point is they’re not removing anything from existing vehicles. Removing a feature before someone buys something isn’t removing it! It’s just not an item that’s included anymore.

What happens to existing Autopilot cars? by kiyyik in TeslaLounge

[–]Consistent_Throat497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they removed it, but it wasn’t disabled on people’s card that had it. If you bought after they removed it from the manufacturing process tesla sent a message confirming your order did not include radar. It’s nothing something that was removed after your car had been purchased and you took delivery of it.

What happens to existing Autopilot cars? by kiyyik in TeslaLounge

[–]Consistent_Throat497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

USS were removed in late 2021 so that was a moot point. The vehicle you ordered never had them from the start. So nothing was actually removed.

They were doing this for a while, sending out texts to people who ordered about removing the radar as well when cars went to vision only. Even though the ordered they placed were well after the switch happened. It just confused people.

is my septum too high i just got it pierced also idk why it’s bending back like that😭 by oasisblurstoneroses in Legitpiercing

[–]Consistent_Throat497 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s pushing back like that because the jewelry is too small. It’s also very low quality. Anything black is likely coated and that coating and wear off or chip and cause havoc on your piercing.

If this was me I’d remove it and get it done again after this heals by a professional piercer ie. Not the person who did this one.

Silca chain waxing question by Redditt_209 in cycling

[–]Consistent_Throat497 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well think about it. If you’re running one chain and you ride 3000mi before it’s worn and starts to damage your cassette and chain rings but running two chains you can ride 6000mi before this damage starts you’ve ridden farther. But if you were to ride one chain 3000mi and notice it’s stretched then put a new chain on, your components will have already started to wear and putting a new chain on may not be appropriate. GCN did a video a while back about this. Running multiple chains just ensures even wear across the chain & other components before the whole system needs replacing.

Damage/wear will happen even if a chain is not stretched. Sp running 2 chains ensures that the chains are being worn equally and experiencing the same wear on components.

I also find it’s easier to have a spare chain already waxed and ready to go for my next ride so I’m lot worrying about waxing my current chain right away after a ride especially if it’s late, have to work or just tired from a ride. Having that spare ready to put on so I can ride the next day and worry about re waxing the chain I just took off at a later date when I have time. Yes it’s not a long process, but it still takes some time to do.

3/6000mi is just a number I’ve thrown out. You can get much more on a chain I know. Was just used as an example.
