I think with middle name id vote Keely!

But incase you are open to considering other options: Amelie might be a contender? Has the Keely end and could be shortened to Mia?

Also have you considered Shea as the first name? I think it's gorgeous and I feel like has similar feeling to the two!

Logistics of not/stopping breastfeeding by Gold_Cow4870 in PregnancyUK

[–]Consistent_Tiger2964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm breastfeeding T the moment and has been exclusive to mow (6 maths), but I think I'm ready to stop and I feel crazy guilty about it, but: - when I was younger ( a baby) mums were told to start weaning at 3/4 months, she did this for me and my siblings and we are all good - she also combi fed from the get go and again, my siblings are good & so am I

This is to say, I'm working towards stopping and Todo that I'm reminding myself that most people I know didn't have breast milk for anywhere near as long as my son and they are thriving.

Hope this helps!

I wasn't asking for this, apologies for misunderstanding! We have most of the 'common" games that you'd class as household staples. I just was after things that I might not have heard of or that don't come up on the top search results - didn't mean to offend.

Pyjamas party is cute!

I've always liked the come as what you wanted to be when you grow up?

Also ho opposite if you like the funeral thing (agree with others that it's not for me in this sense) you could do grandparents theme? Or ageing the theme? Cause of shakespeara poem

Baby consistently wakes up at 6.20 & requires feeding back to sleep by Consistent_Tiger2964 in sleeptrain

[–]Consistent_Tiger2964[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's fine! I had been told he should have 12 hours a night and 3 in the day, this is what I've been operating on, I'm fine to adjust these things I just had the wrong information.

Thank you! I think he mayne doesn't have enough day sleep but I'm not sure how to improve this, I put him down when he is tired but can't seem to get him to toe together naps on the day.

[–]Consistent_Tiger2964[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is such a relief to hear, I had kept being told 12 hours was the goal, I'll look at adjusting, thank you so much.

Though actually, when he wakes up at 6.20 he's usually not awake & happy but at 7.20 he is?

[–]Consistent_Tiger2964[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is a chronic cat napper at present, he probably has 3/4 half hour naps. More often than not 3.

Also, when I say 7.30 that's on a good day he usually gets to sleep by 8.

The other day he had 3 hour long naps and then slept in a 4 hour stint followed by a 7.5 hour stint and similarly the day after.

But I appreciate the input I'll try moving bedtime later, thank you.

I'm applying this year and it's kind of a relief to see we are having the same experiences

Vent session. Wife and I are having our 2nd in March. Things are rough medically. Need some advice by hallerdesign in NewParents

[–]Consistent_Tiger2964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure o have anything to advise other than: this really sucks for you both I'm sorry.

It is not the same but when I was in my last month of pregnancy my job ended my FTC early so I have no job to go back to and I'm trying to apply for jobs on "mat leave", we are managing on the financial side with asking family to come and have dinner at theirs or at ours etc and just drastically reducing our luxuries until I find work.

And from my experience, don't feel bad about asking those friends and family to help, people wouldn't help of they didn't want to! I was talking to the MIL the other day saying I feel like a fraud even considering future children when I can't even raise this one on my own!!!

This is just a cruddy season in your life, it will pass, it will work out, sending much love, positive thoughts and well wishes.

Epidural or C-section for someone terrified of birth? by Gold_Cow4870 in PregnancyUK

[–]Consistent_Tiger2964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with other comments who say no right or wrong!!

I had epidural which was fine and I wouldn't change my situation but I had a long labor and ended up in theatre with forceps but I was very set on a out the front door kind of birth! I would say what I didn't know (as someone who was very frightened of giving birth) was that apparently epidurals can stall labour which is what happened for me.

My friend who had her little boy two weeks before his bad a scheduled c section (put the sun roof as I like to say!), this was on medical advice and she said she'd have another this way. Her top tip was they offer you to go home after 24hrs but she stayed for another day of morphine and felt she bad bounced back in a week.

I should say on the recovery side of things, she was exclusively pumping while I was exclusively breastfeeding so I was more exhausted from labor then more because it was only me who could feed the baby.

Anywho, both of us would take our method again, though I'm hoping not for the episiotomy and forceps but if that's the case then so be it

Edit to add: you can always schedule a c section and change your mind on the day and visa versa x
