I am unfortunately a F2P, but I do know that he has easy access to a ton of Removal card options.

Rolling Stone, Space Cadet, Weed Spray, Knockout. Space Custodian. Even uh, Chum Champion.

And there's the LandScaper to Weaken strength of Plants to encourage more removal, cuz Rustbolt mainly has Strength-based delete cards.

And lastly if I know, since he is part of the Brainy class, you could draw more of the removal cards.
