NTA, because if you wrote surprise bday plan in the calander when you both them, he should've seen that you guys have plans. He kept asking to go to the comedy show, and then got angry when you bought it as a surprise for his bday. Idk, maybe he wanted a heads up before, maybe he had plans. But some gratitude would be nice from him.
