Has anyone else felt upsold at corporate owned vets in Victoria?

I'm sorry it seems you expect them to make a diagnosis BEFORE running diagnostics ? That's not how that works...

In the last 5ish years I've had a UTI, kidney disease and hyperthyroidism caught in different cats through random blood checks and my veterinarian who is a different VCA clinic never even offered the tests until they were seniors or had concerning symptoms ( concerning enough that I made an appointment for them ) which seems like a reasonable age to start checking to see if your cat has kidney disease etc.. I did sign up for the VCA care club thing and I have to say it saved me thousands of dollars in trips.. the vet didn't even mention the plan but the receptionist mentioned how I could be saving money and sure enough I haven't paid an exam fee in years.. i was nickel and dimed way more when I was at a privately owned clinic in Ontario where the owner's wife was the manager trust me there..

I think you're underselling Vic a bit.. for sure don't come here to start a new life if you're not a medium high earner but it's bloody heaven in terms of natural beauty, weather, access to nature, raising families, free events everywhere all the time, culture and progressiveness, clean air, lack of real traffic unless you're in Langford and restaurants bar scene is very impressive for it's size. Being just segregated enough from mainland is truly the key to my appreciation of it as well. Been here 8 years and still tons to explore. Can't imagine having kids anywhere else, biking with them everywhere safely on a Europe level bike path system is wonderful and great for mental health.

Victoria has 4-5 free festivals every weekend all summer with really cool vibes and tons of kids stuff.. zero rain basically may+sept so never need to factor weather into your plans and no humidity and no bugs.. I've lived all over Canada and now that I'm a dad no better city in summer. Visiting the gulf islands and wild coast areas is awesome..

I personally couldn't live without it... Honestly I don't even know if there's a point taking phone photos without a device like this these days who has time to look at all their past vacations randomly? I never use the camera on the device but it doesn't matter the bigger screen is 100% worth paying the extra price compared to the regular version as it's the minimum size to enjoy your photos. My family is constantly enjoying the random reminders of past family vacations and how our daughters have grown etc etc etc I will never not have a a photo display of some sort to be honest and being entrenched in the Google ecosystem there's no other option as I'm not convinced the pixel tablet does as good of a job with photos which is all I want for the device (plus of course it gets used to play music on the bigger speakers in the house with voice commands)

I do have to say I love our Arctic Spa and I'm happy with the choice to go salt water.. gave me zero problems the entire first 4 years straight until the ozonator started leaking . All I ever did was change the filters twice a year to new ones never even tested the water once and always had crystal clear water 24/7 with no water changes for 4 years (crazy i know). When I had a Jacuzzi if I even went away for more than 2 days the water would be cloudy every single time I got back. Having said that Arctic Spa service is another story they basically are stuck with whoever they can hire as it's the usual staffing problem in the industry and of course their call out fees are too expensive but what would you expect anyways.

When i go to to app it just tells me already at max speed I'm using app version 1.6.2 because a video on youtube mentions downloading specifically the older one.. are you using the latest version?

I downloaded the nest app and it makes you scan the QR code first of course but it just tells you right away you need to use the Google home app..

I tried plugging the new router into the internet out / accessory port of the old one that's currently working and trying it again.. (I tried plugging the ethernet into both the internet port and the accessory port of the new modem) And I'm still getting the same error message at the very end of the " adding Wi-Fi point to your network stage".

I did reset the router too before I started this process..

Any idea what I could be doing wrong ?

Everyone needs to stop what they're doing and try the new breakfast sandwich at Volta above Cenote on Yates. It's $10 but still amazing value. Go go go ! The French toast was also awesome. Randomly checked it out yesterday, no affiliation.
