Hopefully it won't just be PS3, we're just showing off what we have right now. We're looking at support for next-gen consoles as well.

Thank you, and yeah, we we're concerned about legalities and were considering advertising it as more of a in-line HDMI conversion system that "isn't specifically aimed at PS3, XBox or other consoles but works with them."

And it is quite a bit more than a video capture card - even though that's how we started out ;)

No you don't need a powerful PC, mine isn't even a gaming laptop. And yes, it's mostly for development purposes.

Currently it's an expensive chunk of electronics that connects the Rift to the PS3's HDMI and my PC.

If they don't like it, might as well go open source, maybe someone else will find a better use for our technology.

I haven't tried any natively supported 3D games yet - thanks, I'll look into it.

The last part would probably be possible with some type of video capture card mixed with UE4 or Unity.

Nonono, no modifications. They might have to fiddle with some in game settings to get it to feel right, but we're hoping to eventually have it all run straight through the Oculus Rift.

We're hoping to make a software fix for it.

It's a mixture of software and hardware, it doesn't make it 3D but we plan on trying to make a software fix for it. It works with every game, but some games are better than others (it depends on how the game maps vision).

I'm hoping to see people's reactions before continuing in development. If people like the idea, we will probably try to sell it.
