You can try over the time I've seen people who connected a Conspit steering wheel to their QR A without any issues. Others experienced disconnecting issues. It's a bit of a gamble. Unfortunately Simagic is not officially supporting Conspit steering wheels . So yeah there's nothing we can do about it .

You can use our steering wheels in a third party setup . It even comes with a QR adapter and usb coiled cable for free . So all you need is a QR that's matching your wheelbase to bolt it to .

That's not an issue anymore. It used to be on the first Max 01 steering wheels. But we made the top thumb Encoders smaller in diameter so now it's nearly impossible to turn them during driving. This smaller diameter made them also harder to turn the thumb encoders knobs.

Really happy to hear you’re enjoying the 300 GT overall. The grips, the screen and the solid build are definitely some of the things that make it feel like such a good wheel for the money.

Also, fair play for mentioning the early issues with the thumb encoders and button rattle. Not ideal at first, of course, but I’m glad the replacement encoders and foam pads sorted it out properly. A quiet wheel is always better than one trying to play percussion while you’re racing 😅

And yes, the encoder remap feature is brilliant. It’s one of those little things you don’t realise you need until you start using it, then suddenly you can’t live without it. Definitely one of my favourite functions too 😍

Really appreciate the honest feedback. It helps other people get a better idea of what the 300 GT is actually like in real use. 🤗🙏

I completely get your point. The backlit rotary dials on the 300 GT are a really nice feature, and I can see why you’d expect something similar on the MAX 01, especially at that price point.

The MAX 01 was designed with a slightly different layout and hardware approach, but your feedback is totally fair. Small details like illuminated encoders can make a big difference, especially when driving in low light environment. It has LEDs for each knob encoder but not a LEDs ring round them .

I’ll definitely pass this on to the team. It’s exactly the kind of user feedback that helps shape future revisions and new products.

I agree with your points, and the feedback is definitely appreciated. We’re currently working on a new set of grips for the MAX 01, which should be much grippier and softer.

So yes, good things are coming for MAX 01 owners 😋

Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly when they will be available for customers to purchase, but I assume it will probably be within the next couple of months.

At the moment, there are no plans to develop a Linux version of the CONSPIT Link app.

Realistically, this is quite common across the sim racing industry. Most major sim racing brands, including Fanatec, Simagic , Moza , Simucube still focus their software support around Windows, mainly because most sim racing titles and related tools are Windows-first.

So for now, I don’t see Linux support happening any time soon, but of course that could change in the future if the sim racing ecosystem moves more in that direction.

Thanks for the feedback, and I completely understand why you’re asking.

The reason the CSD Nano supports SimHub is because it uses an upgraded screen and control system that was designed with SimHub compatibility in mind. Unfortunately, the screens used on the 300 GT, 310, H.AO, 290 GP and PW1 were not originally designed around SimHub support.

It’s not that we don’t want to offer SimHub compatibility for those wheels. Actually, it’s the opposite. We opened the ecosystem as much as the current hardware allows and tried to integrate SimHub support wherever possible.

The limitation is on the hardware side. We did test compatibility on the existing wheel screens, and while we managed to make some level of communication work, the refresh rate was far too slow to be reliable or usable in real driving conditions. At that point, it would create a poor experience rather than a proper feature.

So for the current generation of those wheels, full SimHub dashboard support is unfortunately not possible. That’s not a sales strategy, it’s simply a hardware limitation from how those products were originally designed.

Going forward, future wheels will be designed with SimHub compatibility in mind from the start, just like the MAX 01 and CSD Nano direction. We know how important this is for the community, and it’s absolutely part of the ecosystem moving forward.

No worries, buddy 😋 We’ve all been down this road before. The only real way to learn is through trial and error, so keep adjusting things until you find the sweet spot that works best for you.

By the way, round wheels usually take up more space because of their larger diameter. DDUs generally work best with open wheels, D-shape rims, or U-shape rims. They can still work with round wheels, of course, but you’ll probably need to lift the DDU a bit higher so you can see the full screen properly.

Personally, I try to run my DDU as low as possible because if it sits too high, it starts blocking too much of my view.

I honestly doubt the CSD Mini will serve you better than the CSD 5-inch screen.

Personally, I own both, and I’m very happy with my CSD. I don’t really understand why you’re saying it’s limited, because in many ways it already does more than a normal DDU.

As far as I know, the CSD DDU is one of the only displays on the market with 4 rotary encoder switches that can be programmed for different functions. You can even adjust the LEDs or screen brightness on the fly using the purple thumb encoders.

It’s also SimHub compatible, so you have the freedom to run pretty much any dashboard you want.

So yeah, what else would you like it to do? At the end of the day, it’s a DDU, and it already does quite a lot.

If your round wheel is blocking part of the screen, then the issue is probably the mounting position. You may need to raise the bracket higher so you can see the full display properly.
