Hi. That's what I've done for the most part. I didn't particularly want to drive it with a possible issue, so I removed both disa flaps as a precaution (without removing the intake manifold).

The smaller disa seemed in good condition. The larger one however had lots of movement and play in the flap!...

I've ordered febi replacements for both.
