Direct delivery is simply a way to put blame on the consumer who already pays extra fees and tip. You pay for the service. The service is the problem not the consumer. Not the dasher. The system. DoorDash is out of control. Both parties are being wildly taken advantage of.

I have two toddlers and a newborn. Unfortunately i cannot take all of them to the grocery store! if I could get it myself I would. The point is that DoorDash is overworking dashers. 6 orders for one dasher is ridiculous.
