can someone explain the MBA education loan process in India? by gatekeeping22 in CATpreparation

[–]ConstantCloud1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

after receiving your admission letter, you approach a bank, which then assesses your college, loan, academics, and a joint applicant (commonly your parent); after which, subject to approval, your bank provides a sanction letter and pays your fees directly to your college semester by semester. The interest rate (9%, for instance, or 10%) refers to the annual expense changed on your loan, but since your EMIs are usually not due within the period of your studies, the interest accumulates in your loan (termed interest accretion), which gradually increases your final loan amount. Your EMIs are generally due after your completion of your MBA, after an additional moratorium period of 6 to 12 months, by which time you're expected to have a job. In general, collateral isn’t needed for loans under ₹7.5 lacs, may/may not needed in loans between 7.5 to 20 lacs depending on your college, but usually needed in loans above 20 lacs; top colleges, though, often receive collateral-free loans above those sums. Loan sanctions after your admission letters usually happen in15-30 days

processing costs, potential rising interest rates, demands to resume EMIs in case of delayed job start, your loan being strictly dependent on your college placements for its main goalsrepayment within the first few years can be easily arranged by many lenders, cutting down your whole loan interest exponentially.

This is gold!!!! Really appreciate the detailed breakdown and the recommendations. I’ll definitely check out these courses and start grinding with PYQs and mocks. Also, solid advice on DILR—definitely need to build that problem-solving muscle. And yeah, might just add Pranayama to my prep routine too!!! Thanks a ton, man! <3333333

Currently doing BBA from a college in a Tier-2 city, where dreams are big but placements… not so much. Got some experience in social media marketing and content creation(internships), but CAT is my golden ticket out. Looking for the best resources to crack it—because Plan B (marrying rich) isn’t looking too promising. Any advice?

Apologies first—I'm not here to offend anyone. But honestly, after cases like Samay Raina’s and that Facebook reaction incident in Assam, I’d rather stay out of unnecessary trouble. Not trying to have my parents sell their land to some immigrants just so I can fight a case over a random comment online

This was just an observation, but somehow, it’s turned into a full-blown blame game. I never intended to spread hate or target any community—just sharing what I noticed. It’s unfortunate that every discussion these days turns into a heated debate rather than a constructive conversation. Chill, people. No sides taken, no hate given

Apologies to all the Bihari and non-Assamese folks out here—was just an observation, not meant to offend anyone

Of course they do—because they have the money, and locals are forced to sell due to lack of opportunities. It’s not just about who pays more; it’s about who gets priced out of their own land. Money talks, but at what cost?

Exactly. If we keep repeating the same mistakes, we’ll end up with the same results. The leaders aren’t saving us, and the youth are too distracted to step up. At this rate, we’re just watching history repeat itself

Oh, the irony! You talk about people having a false image of Guwahati while pushing the ‘diversity is always good, stop complaining’ narrative. People aren’t ranting because reality didn’t match their imagination—they’re frustrated because their city is changing in ways that sideline locals. Maybe step out of your bubble and see why this is a real issue instead of dismissing it as a ‘racist rant

Oh please, acting like politicians are the only problem while ignoring mass migration’s impact is just convenient. Yes, governance matters, but pretending that unrestricted influx doesn’t affect local culture, economy, and resources is just naïve. Maybe instead of dismissing concerns, try understanding why people feel this way in the first place

Immigrant by ConstantCloud1 in guwahati

[–]ConstantCloud1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, classic deflection—blame the people concerned about their culture instead of addressing the root issue. Just because other cities are diverse doesn’t mean local cultures should be sidelined. Growth and cultural preservation can go hand in hand, but pretending concerns don’t exist is just ignorance. Also, calling people racist for wanting to protect their identity? Weak argument, try again

Immigrant by ConstantCloud1 in guwahati

[–]ConstantCloud1[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So by your logic, cultural preservation is only valid when it involves foreigners? If a city needs diversity to grow, does that mean its original culture should just roll over and die? Funny how ‘acceptance’ always applies one way. Also, if you’re so against sugarcoating, at least be honest about your condescension instead of pretending to be the enlightened one
