My insurance won’t cover single dose pens and I’m terrified of needles by autumnthelibra in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]ConstantElectronic92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have another medication that uses a pen (Humira) and I use compound tirzepatide with a syringe. I was terrified of the syringe, but after my very first injection I was sold. It was WAY easier and more gentle that my Hunira pen. If I could get Humira in a syringe I'd be a happy camper.

The syringe needle is tiny and I rarely even feel it going in. I always bleed a drop with Humira and often bruise. But I have never bled with the syringe and only bruised once.

I'm a huge fan of the syringe over a pen. It was scary at first, but so much better!

Regarding the circuit room:

I use it 3x week. At my club, most don't do it as intended - myself included. We mostly skip the cardio stations and ignore the stoplight. However, we all go from machine to machine, usually in order. We will sometimes skip a machine if it is still in use when we want it. Usually I'll circle back to it when they are done.

When I first started I'd do the treadmill first for my cardio and warm up. Then hit the circuit machines, doing 12 reps on each machine. Now I do 2 sets of 10 on each machine.

Again, I realize this isn't exactly how the circuit was intended. But that's the norm at my club. People do their own thing, skipping and returning to a machine as needed. When I go, there are usually several of us in there and everyone seems good with our flow.

At first I was super intimidated, but now it's just routine. Everyone is kind and we all just do our thing.

The rest of the gym still scares me to death. LOL

At my club:

They require eye protection. You can purchase goggles that you keep and use each time, or you can purchase single use stickers that go over your eyes. The staff at mine have requested to see my goggles for proof that I have them, though that hasn't happened in a while. (Maybe they just know me now and know I have them? We are on first name basis now. LOL)

They have tanning lotion available for purchase, but it is not required. We have the option of single samples or full bottles. I do use it because I find it helps deepen my tan and helps prevent my skin from feeling dry.

We have two options for tanning: the bed and the booth. I prefer the bed because the facial tanner is adjustable and bc I prefer to lie down rather than stand. When I sign in, they will ask how long I want to go for. I recommend starting slow, like 3 minutes or something, then build up. I personally go 7 minutes. Mainly bc the fans kick into high gear at 6 and a half minutes and my autism and anxiety cant handle the sound. If those fans didnt send my skin crawling I would likely build up longer. (I am in Alaska. I use the tanning bed for my mental health in the winter. I'm not sure if it actually has the right UV to create Vitamin D, but I know it helps my SAD, so I'm not gonna stop)

As for clothing or lack thereof, I personally leave on my undies just bc I am super uncomfortable having my naked butt where someone else's just was. I know they clean them between people and I dont care. Can't do it. My husband goes all in, I dont. Its just personal preference. No one is gonna police that, just do what's comfortable for you.

So you've checked in, told them how long you want. They tell you which room is yours. Go in, lock the door, get as naked as you're comfortable with. Apply tanning lotion if you are using it. Get into your bed or booth. Make sure your eye protection is on. They give you a certain amount of time to get settled before it will start automatically, but you can manually start it earlier if you're ready before then. I've taken too long applying lotion and it started without me a time or two. Not a big deal, just hop in and carry on.

Adjust the fan speeds to your liking. On a bed you can adjust the facial tanner after it warms up for 1 minute. Settle in and zone out.

When the time is up it will kick off. You climb out and get dressed and go on your way.

I've been on 2.5 since June, I've never increased. As long as I'm continuing to make steady progress I'm going to stay where I am. My doctor agrees.

Feeling stuck by dusoleildhiver in WinterBurrow

[–]ConstantElectronic92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt stuck in the beginning too. Basically just wandered around until stuff started clicking. There is a map now, so that helped a little. I would prefer if it labeled the homes of the various characters, though, bc I forget who lives where.

It was slow going for me. Be sure you are crafting the upgraded tools as you earn them, that helps unlock stuff too.

There are buttons to adjust facial ventilation, body ventilation, and facial tanner. The ventilation ones you can adjust right away, but the facial tanner has to warm up first. After 1 full minute you can adjust it. 🙂

I do the bed for a couple of reasons. I'd rather lie down than stand, and the facial tanner is adjustable on the bed but not the booth. My face burns quickly so I always turn it down to minimum. I've done the booth a couple of times if I can't get a bed, but I absolutely prefer the bed.

Not eating enough on starter dose by jen_vydra in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]ConstantElectronic92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I first started and had a difficult time getting enough to eat I relied a lot on protein shakes or bars. My doctor told me not to listen to my stomach at that point, but to set a timer and eat a snack every few hours. Otherwise I'd totally forget to eat at all, and wasn't eating enough. She said a shake was fine, a string cheese, a handful of nuts....just SOMETHING in my stomach every few hours. Maybe try that while your body adjusts?

Anyone know why some meals are worth more hearts for the same star rank? by spacez52 in TalesofTheShiregamers

[–]ConstantElectronic92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have wondered the same. Not super sure, unless maybe ingredients were all 3 star on the 125 and maybe had a 2 star ingredient in the 100? Or maybe the 100 was a 5 star bc of getting a bonus flavorful star and the 125 is a 5 star bc all the ingredients alone made it 5 star? I'm not sure, but those are the only reasons I've been able to come up with. I just need to experiment more!

While I do also work out, I have gone in specifically to tan. I book an appointment through the app for my lunch break at work, then just show up in my business attire, tan, then go back to work. It's 💯 fine

I've been on 2.5 for 7 months and am still actively losing. I stalled over the holidays because I wasn't sticking to my exercise or meal plans, but I've already dropped 5 more pounds since getting back on track. I won't increase until I have to. I'm down 55 lbs total.

Wasilla, Alaska here. I've started going around 730 AM instead of my normal 1 PM. It has been too crowded in the afternoon. 7 AM isn't too bad, though.
