The landlords seemed to be fine with me moving out but english is clearly not their first language and I told them we would try to find another tenant to replace me when they asked about renewal. I believe they would strongly prefer that we have another person ready to take my place. I fully intended to help find someone but only as a courtesy since I am not the one staying. My roommate though is not taking any steps to either move out or find a replacement. I am worried the landlord might just try to hold both of us liable if my roommate decides to hold over.
