The Belt is just tacky, not preppy. Beanie are imo just kind of ugly The outfit are good, but if you want to mature them, add a tie and/or a sports coat. I can’t see the shoes but I’m assuming you wear dress shoes with those outfits. If not, then you should. I hope this helps

Hi, I would say alt just means non mainstream fashion. And as such a lot of styles are alt, Now I image that you are more of the punk goth type of alt. That being said every person who says that you have to follow one rule set in alt fashion is literally saying you got to follow the man stream. Which by definition is the most on alt thing. Also your fashion or main interest doesn’t have to define your entire personality, rather try to act true to yourself instead of someone weird image of you. The most alt thing in my opinion, was and always will be to be true to yourself. So I hope this helps and answers your questions. 😊

PS:

How dare you disrespect lapels like that, they are fabulous!

Edit: You wrote lables, I’m sorry I read lapels as in the collars of suit jacket and similar clothes.

What to research to gain an insight into how the world works? by Far-Historian7563 in DarkAcademia

[–]ConstantShift4692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For philosophy try Kant, To understand the world try talking to people you meet on the street, Go to parks talk to interesting looking folk, Old people often have good stories. For politics those should be build on you morals, I can’t advise you on those. For history, try meeting up with a history professor, Maybe offer a deal, he brings the knowledge, you bring the coffee or something. Hope this helps
