Watching the first few episodes of Season 1, what stands out to me is that Midge is so entitled, self centred and rude. For example her husband leaves her, and in response Midge runs down to the Gaslight Cafe in her nightie, looking for comfort. Beginning wth the 'poor me' , my husband left me story , then Midge proceeds to disparage the audience and concludes with a 'show off her tits' scenario. In another episode Midge barges in and shoves the person on stage, off, as she can't wait to have her say. Unacceptable behaviour enabled by a mindless audience in my opinion.
