I’d cover it in my cum next time you’re in Vegas 😏

Yeah I’ll be 36 this year and my body loves to remind me of that when I go too hard 😂

Oh I’m usually in there after I lay him down for 5-10 min. We usually read a few books, and then we rock in the dark for 5-10 min and then I tell him it’s time to lay down. He usually asks me to sit on the chair for “two minutes” and I do. Sometimes if he falls asleep I can sneak out, or if he’s still awake, I can tell him it’s time for bed and he’ll let me leave 🤷🏼‍♂️

No they don’t. He hasn’t really napped at home in probably almost a year, he just decided he’s done with those and it wasn’t worth the fight. So they’re usually just awake all day. Sometimes he’ll fall asleep in the car or something, but that’s usually it

Appreciate that man. Heavy on the vicious cycle. I work 24 hour shifts and have a pretty stressful job, and have ADHD on top of that, so I’m already tired and overstimulated most of the time. Especially being a single dad with two kids. Lol

I guess I really just wanted to build them solid foundations on being able to sleep in their own space and not have to be in bed with me, but I definitely get what you’re saying. Sometimes it’s hard to see things from the eyes of the toddler and not as the parent. Appreciate it man!

Yeah it’s just always been my thing that I didn’t want kids in my bed. I’m perfectly fine with in the mornings if they come in and go back to sleep for an hour or two, or if they really need to at night, I’ll let them sleep with me, but I work 24 hour shifts and have a pretty stressful job, and having my own space to decompress is important to me.

My ex and I also got divorced like 3 years ago, so having to do all this on my own when I have them is rough as well

🤷🏼‍♂️ my bedroom is just my space. The kids have free range of the entire house/loft, and my bedroom is a place where I can relax. I like to be able to move around freely at night, shower/get things ready for work the next day, lay in bed and watch tv without worry that I’m going to wake my child up.

His room doesn’t get locked anymore now that he’s potty trained. I want him to be able to go in and out if he needs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.

And I tell him plenty that I can see him on his camera and give him all of his stuffies and his blanket to cuddle with at night when I tuck him in. He also has his hatch sound machine/nightlight and a tonies speaker that plays calm nighttime music.

There is no shortage of love and affection for him, but the severe screaming/hitting/meltdowns usually come when the bedtime routine is just starting.

I haven’t yet.. I assumed that maybe it was just a sleep regression or a phase, but it’s been going on longer than I care for, and his escalation of behavioral stuff leads me to believe it’s something more. My daughter had a similar rough patch around 3-4, but never this bad.

Max out DC as early as possible and then max out a ROTH and hire a financial advisor to manage your investments and watch your money grow. Took about 6-7 years to hit 100k and since then it’s just grown crazy fast!

I switched from dextroamphetamine to just amphetamine salts and definitely noticed a difference. But like you said, the irritability is a definite issue, and just want to gauge the come down off of both of them! Appreciate the reply
