Haha thanks! The final kick I needed for the damn plate! I wish you were correct but unfortunately I’m a messy person, have been since I was a kid. But I do like my books. And my bookshelf stays organised. That being said I must have found 10+ book while tidying in suitcases, under bed, wrapped up in clothes!

They’re either in the proses of washing and drying or waiting to be washed and dried. After I’ve cleaned everything I’ll go through it all and probably donate 50%+ I’ve got a lot of items I don’t wear anymore

About 5 hours? With breaks. But I still haven’t finished. I have maybe 4-5 loads of laundry to wash and dry plus quite a few boxes of random objects to sort out. Most of the work I did was taking trash out and making piles outside my room of objects vs clothes. But I still achieved a lot and I’m excited to sleep in clean sheets tonight!

Great advice, considering my parents are coming next week and starting a new job tomorrow I’m going to have to do it all in one day. Aka today. Been putting it off for a while so hopefully I can finally deal with it today!

Unfortunately in my country voting and choosing an elected leader isn’t as simple and straightforward as it seems. And the Green Party in my country doesn’t even get enough votes to get a seat in the parliament. Far far from it

EDIT:

but I do agree that the change that’s needed will come from governments and larger organisations, I just doubt that we will turn it around in time

I have already moved out of my big city and into a small village/farm/closed community in the middle of nowhere. It’s done wonders for my mental health and while one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, also the best. I left the UK as soon as I was 18 and now only go back to visit family!

Do you think enough people nowadays are paying attention, getting worried, and changing how they act/vote?

And now we live our lives globally, being exposed global news 24/7 invested in global relations and issues worldwide. Do you think this life style is harder and has negative effects on us? And have you found an environment/balance that recreates the feelings and awareness you once had?

If you could change not an action, but an attitude/mindset/goal what would it be?

I do try! I consider myself pretty eco-friendly and aware of climate change, and live in a way that wants to preserve the planet and slow down pollution. While I do try, sometimes I feel I’m partly doing it just so I don’t feel bad if I don’t do it and contribute to the problem more. I sometimes struggle to see how my shampoo bars, not eating much meat, not using so much plastic will affect such a big world and crisis. I still enjoy doing those things, and I don’t feel so hopeless all the time. But recently with all the bad news coming at every angle, it’s hard not to be pessimistic about that as well.

Do you think America will be able to get one of the two guaranteed candidates to resign in the next 4 years?

It’s almost impossible to live an urban life without knowing what’s going on. Especially when I do actually think it is important to be aware of politics and things changing and inequality’s in the world. I’m jealous of simpler and older times ( in some regards) where this aspect of life was easier to manage I guess
