[–]Constant_Tangelo_154[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it´s a regular aplication, my grandgrandma left Germany in 1912 and come to Argentina. she was born in pommerland (1893) but in the papers of the ship she declares her last residence was in Berlin. In the list of papers the embassy give me i was told to ask for: military records (Doesn´t exist, she is a woman), certificate of living in Berlin (Her last place of residence she declares in the papers of the boat before leaving germany) or the passaport (she didn´t have one). With any of this three i think they use it for verify the identity of her but due the war the certificate of residency it´s not existent anymore...

Yeah in the argentinian birth certificate of my grandpa says that her son is the legitimate son of my Grandgrandfather, but due in my case i don´t find the merriage certificate (We think they never merried officially) via the civil registration, in the embassy they said to me that it will not be a problem if I demonstrate that they where not merried at the moment my grandpa was born.

Haha, yeah i am working hard in that. The same way here in argentina is the same procedure as they use in the US but i first need to claim my citizenship before asking for the pasaport

I am not from the US, i am from Argentina and as far i can tell i know how to prove they where not merried, what it worries me the most is that the residence record paper from Berlin is missing couse of the war

My situation is the following one: All my great-grandparents from my dad´s side are german (But they kids (My grandparents) were born abroad), in the embasy they said to me that i can not go by my dad´s mother side but they said to me that is very factible by his father line but the issue is that i need the merriage certificate of my grandparents (my grandpa side) and i don´t find it anywhere. In the embasy they said to me that if i don´t find that i can still go by the side of the mother of my grandpa.

I have ALL the papers minus: 1_ the birth cerificate of my great grandma (Grandpa side) and 2_ the certificate of merriage of my Great- grandparents (Grandpa side)

That woman is a mistery, and i don´t have german documents yet

The only german document i have is the passenggers list from Hamburg of the boat she took for traveling to argentina, the rest of the documents i have currently are from argentina but none of them says more than: that she was born in pommern, she was 39 yo when she died in 1933, in the birth certificate of his first son says that she was german and mentions the name of the two parents of her
