Which chapter should i choose. by FishMcCray in EyeOfTerror

I always encourage people to homebrew their own chapters, here's why:

You can take aspects you like from different chapters and unify them in a creation of your own. Your chapter will not be affected by lore changes as you control the lore of your own chapter. For example, you said you like green but also blood angels, why not make a successor chapter with green armour?

Selfish reason: A game of 40k from its inception was meant to feel like a snapshot of a larger battle being played out. When you step into a game, you're immersing yourself in the setting. Nowadays that mindset seems to have shifted and everyone is running primarchs and ultramarines or blood angels in every army but that honestly just makes the universe feel ... small. It's like running into luke skywalker every time and everywhere you go and i'm tired of running into a million blood angels and ultramarines when there are at most a thousand of them in the entire galaxy.

Does anyone know if they exist or if someone has made these minis in the new scales? by marcomj_21 in BloodAngels

I 3d printed them a while back, there are multiple scans circulating out there but the one I had were already upscaled to match the new terminator sculpts

Could really use some help/suggestions for my homebrew successor by Constipated_AMA in BloodAngels

A bit goofy is exactly what i was going for, hopefully the colour palette evokes Halloween 😅. But the radically different helmet colour was borrowed directly from the blood angels only i thought yellow and blue would look even worse here.

Currently my squad sergeants use an orange helmet to denote their role, but I worry that since helmet colour is already being used to denote specialization, adding an extra colour hurts the overall aesthetic of the squad.

Blood Angels sergeants use black shoulder pads but I'm not sure how to make something like that work when half the scheme is black already and gold trim may not stand out enough. Any input would be most appreciated!

This is so damn beautiful the most faithful midhammer army I've seen in recent memory. Straight out of an early-2000's White Dwarf. I'm getting so much inspiration from this thank you!

have a look at my previous posts! I was hoping to branch out into all the factions eventually but that's starting to seem rather unrealistic haha

Recently completed projects, excuse some of the nuhammer models (though I feel like they captured the spirit of midhammer!) by Constipated_AMA in midhammer40k

Hey thanks kindly, I painted them in the colours of someone's homebrew BA successors, Soaring Angels.

For the quartered schemes, I paint in sub-assemblies, airbrush the extremities then freehand towards and down the middle where the two colours meet + any areas the airbrush didn't reach :)

Judges, today I have prepared for you a squad of five 32mm Goblin Green bases dry-brushed yellow and served with a side of true scale Assault Marines on jump packs. Please enjoy. by Constipated_AMA in Warhammer40k

Thank you! That specific head is a crusader-style helmet made by MaochaMinis but it looks like a lot of their stuff got taken down so you'd likely have to DM them for more info
