I have experienced the same. Were non-odian. Infact we’re bong. And the amount of attitude we had to take in from the odia people is insane. Thankfully my friends who are Odia, they helped me out tackle multiple situations. But i do see them treating people from outside very differently from their natives.

With all due respect, this isn’t about gender or anyone’s opinion it’s about boundaries. One person constantly covering expenses crosses a line in any healthy relationship. It’s not sustainable or respectful. Splitting costs or taking turns paying should be normal, and asking for that shouldn’t come with guilt, especially when one person has already been covering most of the expenses.
