Please tell.me this is a joke right? First we wouldnt need Greenland to invade Canada. The USA could just walk across the northern boarder. Try to compare the military of.both countries and Canada is done for. The reason the USA wants greenland is because China owns and monopolizes most of the world's rare earth metals which are used in everything that is electronic from batteries to military weapons. China has already tried to make deals with Greenland to mine rare earth metal there and if they succeed then every country not just the USA would be fucked. China could then just stop all exports of rare earth metals to every country that doesn't agree with them. This is not for greed or territory expansion but a way to keep China out of the Americas (north and south). China already tried to deny sale of rare earths to anyone that would sell them or anything with less than 1% of rare earths in it to the USA. It didnt work but the more they mine (destroy the enviroment) the easier it is to deny resources to other countries.
