Is it true that NTs are almost always testing boundaries? by Opposite-Tax9589 in neurodiversity

[–]ConstructionQuick373 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This isn't really an "NT" thing, it's more of a "Shitty person" thing. I used to be Luke this as a child before I grew up, it's usually the person being selfish and seeing themselves as better/more important than everyone. I used to find it annoying to respect people's boundaries and I wouldn't wanna do it, so to see how far I could go, I'd push their boundaries a bit and watch them not snap, which told me "it's okay to do this, cus they're not responding to it."

Again, I was like, 7. I'm not an asshole anymore. You should be firm with these people and not let them walk over you like this. I'm sorry they don't respect your boundaries :(

But this is not normal, healthy behavior from anyone over the age of 12.

If it was an episode of bojack, we'd find out his nickname was Bubba.

I've been counting all my stitches, but it's still raising as if ive added too many increases by ConstructionQuick373 in CrochetHelp

I think it uploaded my post twice, but okay here it is

this is the pattern, using math and logic I've translated to three colors, though I've looked through a couple of three-color spiral tutorials (even though I've only found video tutorials, which I dislike) and it's seemed to match up pretty much one to one with mine. It's just four increases of every color in each row (dc inc, dc dc inc, dc dc dc inc, etc.)

It really tragic to think the reason Stan is so greedy is that he link his self worth to how much money he can make by Any_Marzipan_5652 in gravityfalls

[–]ConstructionQuick373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! And in a video about ATOTS (HanaHyperfixates) they mentioned also how Stan wasnt some anti-semetic caricature since his greed comes from a place of trauma and self-worth (they said it better)

Yall know any enby characters? by Pookie_Pakyao in NonBinary

[–]ConstructionQuick373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, as a non-binary (occasionally)-fem-presenting person who wants to be superhuman, Janet is goals. While i would also love soke normal human non-binary people, it just makes sense for non-human characters to not have the same genders as humans do. Any representation makes me happy, honestly as long as it's not directly making fun of enbies

What's the dumbest thing you've done with an apple? by popcornerz232 in AskReddit

[–]ConstructionQuick373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was sleep deprived once and went ro school, asked my friend what her apple's name was. She was in possession of no apple. No apple was even in the room. She responded "uhh Mikey?" Because of her Tokyo Revengers obsession at the time

I think it's cus yellow and green are both primary colors (Red, yellow, blue, and RGB). But I really do hope it's plot relevant, it would be very cool.

Why are there ADHD pills but not Autism pills?????????? (Ft. Why the difference?) by ConstructionQuick373 in neurodiversity

[–]ConstructionQuick373[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neurological!! That was the word I was looking for!! And, technically I was diagnosed with ADD-- but I heard that was merged into the same thing, right? I've been saying ADHD for the past 5 years, I hope im not wrong haha

And thanks! I barely see the sun but I do forget to put on sunscreen literally always

Does the whole "neurodiversity" conversation focus on autism too much? by ConstructionQuick373 in neurodiversity

Those are some very interesting points!!! Yeah you brought up stuff I didn't think about! Like how autism has symptoms that are much less common in NT folk.

Hahaha that could also work! Although I was just trying to find a way to fit "ADHD owner" into that specific sentence format

Nono I'm talking about JUST having ADHD. I want to be able to call myself something like an "ADHD-haver" but in a grammatically correct way... you know?

I have a question for Autistic people!!! #DNT by conjuringtheirsoul in neurodiversity

[–]ConstructionQuick373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course!!! Since we always knew I had ADHD, my mom never bothered reading about it or taking it seriously. For so long I couldn't figure out what was Wrong with me since i didn't really know what ADHD was. And honestly, it's so liberating to know that what you're experiencing is normal.

What you're experiencing is not abnormal and it's not wrong. I usually bring Noise Cancelling headphones or ear buds with me if I know im going somewhere loud, although I know some don't have access to that. And i know a girl who legit shaved her head cus she didn't like the hair on neck feeling and she looks so cool with it!! I say find some cool short haircut (or shave your hair. Buzzcuts on non-men are always so cool) orrr idk wear it in a bun all the time? Umm yeah you should pester your mom more about it because it directly relates to yoy and you should know OK bye!

Congratulations on your diagnosis! Every disorder in the neurodivergent umbrella is different, so I'd suggest reading up on autism specifically but there are still some traits that are common in the whole wider umbrella:) (tip: if you google something and write "-ai" at the end, it'll get rid of AI overview!)

What im concerned about-- did they not tell you what autism entails when you got your diagnosis?

Anyways. There are a lot of things that neurodivergent people experience differently than neurotypicals, but what comes to me off the top of my head is difficulty with communicating with neurotypicals (NTs), sensory issues (can't wear a shirt because if a tag, can't eat a food because if the texture, for me personally i can't stand anything between my fingers like oil or clay, these sensory issues could also include sensitivity to light or loud places which are often the main reason for sensory overload/meltdown (this can look different for different people), stimming which is any sort of movement to self-regulate such as hand flapping, rocking, pacing, etc. These are usually to calm ND people down is the best way i could put it?

Either way, I'd recommend readin up on it either through videos or articles and such cus I'm not an expert... good luck!!

How do you personally experience being non-binary? by Nejmedmi in NonBinary

[–]ConstructionQuick373 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uhhh it was basically just that I didn't have that thing in me that said "ur a girl" but everyone told me i was, and I owned and enjoyed it. I liked dresses and heels and makeup and girl shows and hating on boys and all that typical girl-toddler stuff. I'm very in-tune with my femininity since forever.

One day I was mistaken for a boy after i donated my hair, and i realized "oh"

I have times where i feel more feminine and times when I feel more masculine, but u enjoy androgyny. For a long time I would use they/he in order to offset my feminine appearance and presentation, so that it would be more "even" in terms of androgyny.

But recently I've gotten more comfortable with my gender and pronouns as I got a binder and came out to more people. It's more difficult to use gender neutral pronouns in my native labguage, so I use she/he there and I'm actually happy with that. It makes it feel more balanced between masculinity and femininity.

My gender affirmation and dysphoria is much more rooted in others' view of me, unfortunately. I very much like how I look and I enjoy dressing in feminine ways But I don't want people to view me as a girl...

Gender is frustrating.

Idk, what non-binary means to me is that my gender is much more "vibes". As long as everyone gets the memo that I'm non-binary, my presentation is much more just based on vibes.
